User Guide for Klaviyo Email Marketing Plugin

Klaviyo is an email direct marketing (EDM) tool that offers clients a wide range of benefits, including attractive email marketing templates, flexible automation flows, and forms. As a cost-effective and popular marketing tool, EDM has gained significant traction across various industries.

This article will explain how to connect your SHOPLINE store with Klaviyo, helping you establish a communication channel with targeted customers. This integration allows you to deliver relevant information directly to them, which in turn can drive sales and boost conversions.

Syncing Store Data

Please follow the steps below to sync store data with Klaviyo:

  1. Go to Klaviyo and sign up for an account.
  2. Visit the SHOPLINE App Store, and install Klaviyo - Email Marketing App.

  3. In the Enabling App Embed, click Go to Enable > Design to enter the theme admin panel, switch to the App embeds tab, and enable the Klaviyo toggle.

  4. Click Get Public API Key.

    From your Klaviyo admin panel, find the Public API Key, copy it to the SHOPLINE Admin, and click Save.




Syncing Products

You can sync the products in your SHOPLINE store with Klaviyo via the product feed URL. Please follow the steps below:

  1. In the Email Marketing Settings section, SHOPLINE automatically generates the product feed URL. Click the Copy button.


  2. From your Klaviyo admin panel, click Content > Products > Add Custom Products > Add new source.

  3. Paste the product feed URL to the Source URL. Fill in other information and click Define source. After the information is saved, you will automatically return to the Source List.

  1. In the source list, go to the source detail page by clicking the source name. Confirm the field mapping section and click Complete feed setup.

  1. The products are synced with Klaviyo. When the synchronization is completed, the Source status is changed to Sync Complete. The process of syncing products with Klaviyo comes to an end.



Apply Product Blocks

If you want to add a product to Klaviyo Campaigns, follow the instructions below to request the Klaviyo Support Team to activate Product Blocks.

  1. Send an email to the Klaviyo support team, requesting to activate Product Blocks. You can create an email based on the following template.



Note: You can copy the information provided in the template and paste it into your email.

  1. Back to Klaviyo admin panel, go to Campaigns and open a template that has been created or click Create Campaign to create a new one.

  2. Customize the Campaign name and date. Select Email > Save and continue, then select the recipients to whom you send the message and click Continue to content.

  3. Go to Content > Templates and click Create blank email to create a new template.

    Drag Product to add it to the template. You can choose where you want to show the product block.

  4. How to show products in the email:
    Klaviyo provides two product display options. The Dynamic option involves sending emails using product feeds. In the Static option, you choose products to show for all recipients. The following steps outline how to show products using the Dynamic and Static options respectively:
  • Dynamic: Click Create product feed and select API: Default and the product catalog you want to promote. After saving, select the product feed template. Click the template to preview the email.

  • Static: Click Add Products and enter the Browse Products page, select the products you want to show in the email and click Add Products.

Note: Product feeds are sets of products selected from the Product Catalog based on rules you set in Klaviyo. Connecting the product feed with the product block provides more flexibility in showcasing products.
