Before You Start
Before proceeding with the Google asset authorization binding in the Smart Ads system, please make sure that you’ve prepared the necessary ad assets and have the appropriate management permissions. Check Google advertising asset authorization (must do for advertising) here. Once confirmed, you can complete your Google asset authorization in the Smart Ads system.
Google Asset Authorization Process
You can perform the following steps:
- Go to the App Store and install Smart Ads.
- Click Start Ad Serving to enter the product interface.
- In the Set up advertising channels section, click on the Set button next to Google.
- For Google account authorization, click the Connect Google Account button and log in to your account.
- For Google Merchant Center authorization, connect your GMC account used for advertising to the Smart Ads system.
- For Google Ads account authorization, click Connect Ad Account to connect your Google Ads account to the Smart Ads system.
After you complete connecting the accounts, the connection authorization is done.
Note: The number of advertising accounts bound to the Smart Ads system can’t exceed the number of accounts supported by the subscription plan. The number of accounts in the plan = number of Facebook Ads accounts + number of Google Ads accounts. If you need to use other accounts when the number of accounts bound reaches the upper limit, you can unbind existing account(s). |
Google Asset Unbinding Process
Click Disconnect to unbind Google Ads assets from the Smart Ads system. Please pay attention to the following:
- When you cancel your Google account authorization, all advertisement assets related to the account will be removed, Google Feed can’t be updated in real time, and you won’t be able to view advertising data and manage your advertisements.
- When you disconnect GMC, the Smart Ads system can no longer provide Google Feed services, Google Feed updates will be suspended, and you won’t be able to view advertising data and manage your advertisements.
- When you disconnect your Google Ads account from the Smart Ads system, you won’t be able to view previous advertising data in the system. If an unbound store rebinds the previous Google Ads account within 30 days, the advertising data previously created in the system for this account can still be viewed after the rebinding. If the store rebinds after 30 days, historical advertising data won’t be available for viewing.
