Add-on products

You can set up add-on items in the Product Bundles. Add-on items can enrich the consumption mix in the store and effectively help you increase store sales. Each main product can be set with up to 5 add-on items. When customers purchase the main product, they can choose add-on items for additional purchase or checkout.

Considerations

Before you create a add-on items campaign, review the following considerations:

  • Number of add-on items: each main product can only select a maximum of 5 add-on items, and each main product only supports one add-on items campaign that is "active" at the same time;
  • Add-on items price: When you select an add-on item, the price of the add-on item is equal to the selling price of the product by default; you can manually set the price for the add-on item, but the price of the add-on item cannot be higher than the selling price; If the product has multiple variants, the price of the add-on item must not be higher than the minimum selling price;
  • The purchase limit of the number of add-on items: You can set the purchase limit of the number of add-on items for the campaign, which corresponds to the maximum limit of the number of add-on items that customers can purchase at the same time when purchasing each main product (variant) in the store. If you do not limit the quantity, the customer can purchase any quantity of add-on items when purchasing the main product;
  • Add-on items campaign: The add-on items in the campaign only enjoy the add-on item price you set in the admin. However, add-on items cannot be stacked with any other promotional activities, and only support purchases at the price of add-on items after you configure;
  • If the add-on items you set are deleted, taken off the shelf or out of stock, the corresponding add-on item will not be displayed in the store, and customers will not see these add-on items;

 

Create an add-on items campaign

Steps:

1. In the SHOPLINE admin, go to Apps, select "Product Bundles" app

2. On the home page of the product bundles app, select Add-on items, click "Manage activities"

3. On the add-on items list page,click Create

4. In the Activity Title section, enter a name for the add-on items campaign

  • Note: The name will be displayed in your store, and your customers can see the name on the product detail page, shopping cart, and checkout page

5. In the Main product section, select the main product of the add-on items campaign. Each campaign supports only one main product

  • You can modify the main product of the campaign, but each main product can only exist in one "active" add-on items campaign at the same time

6. In the Add-on item section, make the following settings:

  • Select add-on items in the campaign; you can choose from products in your store, and you can choose up to 5 add-on items for each campaign
  • Set the price of add-on items. Customers can select both the main product and the add-on items on the product detail page of the main product. The price of the add-on items is the price you set in the admin
    • Note: when you change the price manually, the price of the add-on items must be greater than 0; and the price of the add-on items must be less than the selling price of the product when setting
    • If your add-on item has multiple variants, you can click the "Multiple Variants Settings" icon to set the price for each variant of the product

7. In the Restrictions section, you can set the upper limit of the number of add-on items

  • This is not required. If you do not set a purchase limit for add-on items, customers can choose any number of add-on items when purchasing the main product
  • If you set a purchase quantity limit, then when customers purchase each main product (variant), the number of add-on items that can be purchased together cannot exceed the limit you set here

8. Click Create

9. After you create an add-on items campaign, the campaign will be "enabled" by default, and you can see this add-on items campaign on the product detail page of the main product

After you create an add-on items campaign, you can manage it in the add-on items list and enter any add-on items campaign edit page

Steps:

1. In the SHOPLINE admin, go to Apps, select "Product Bundles" app

2. On the home page of the product bundles app, select Add-on items, and you can view all add-on items campaigns you created in the list

3. In the main product column, you can view the picture and name of the main product corresponding to the add-on items campaign

4. In the column of add-on items, you can view the pictures of add-on items corresponding to the add-on item campaign and the quantity of add-on items

5. In the column of total sales, you can view the current total sales of the corresponding add-on items campaign. When a successful order contains any add-on item, the sales of the order will be included in the calculation

6. In the Status column, you can view the status of the current campaign

  • Enabled: The add-on item campaign is enabled, and customers can see this add-on items campaign on the product detail page corresponding to the main product
  • Disabled: The add-on item campaign is disabled, and customers will not see this campaign in the store

7. In the Action column, you can click the preview icon to enter the preview campaign on the product detail page corresponding to the main product of the add-on items campaign

8. Batch operation: You can also disable or delete add-on items in batches; by clicking the checkbox in front of the main product column, select the campaign you want to operate in batches, click disable or delete after selection, and confirm; the corresponding campaigns will be disabled or deleted in bulk

 

Edit an add-on items campaign

In any state, you can edit the campaign information on the add-on items campaign setting page; You can modify the campaign title, main product, add-on items, add-on items price, and purchase limit

Step:

1. In the SHOPLINE admin, go to Apps and enter the Product Bundles app

2. On the homepage of the Product Bundles app, select Add-on items, search or select the campaign you want to edit in the add-on items list, and click to enter the edit page

3. Click Update after adjustment, your store will display the latest campaign information, and customers will see the latest add-on items campaign when they browse the store again

  • Note: Orders that have already been placed will not be affected by the event update, and the price of add-on items that have been added to the shopping cart will not be affected by editing here (add-on items that have been added to the shopping cart will be priced according to the price when adding, unless you remove the add-on item from the campaign)

4. You can also disable the corresponding add-on item campaign at any time. On the campaign setting page, click the "enable" switch to disable the add-on items campaign. The campaign that is disabled will no longer be displayed in the store, and the event status will become "disabled".

 

Query an add-on items campaign

If you want to query whether some products in the store are currently set up for add-on items campaigns, you can query the specified products through the bundle management in the product bundles app.

Steps:

1. In the SHOPLINE admin, go to Apps and select Product Bundles app

2. Click query products in Bundle management module

3. When you select a product, the bundle management will display all the manual bundles, automatic bundle, and add-on items where this product is currently participated. You can quickly view the corresponding campaigns and the current status of the campaigns here.

4. When you click "Modify Add-On Item Settings", you can jump to the corresponding event editing page to adjust the specified event.

5. When you click "Manage Add-on items", you can redirect to the add-on items list page to view all add-on items campaigns.
