Reserve Items

If you want to reserve items for a draft order, you need to click Reserve items after adding the products to the draft order. After you click Reserve items in the draft order, the inventory status of these products is set to not for sale, ensuring that other customers cannot purchase these products. Reserved products are exclusive to a specific draft order.

Take Southeast Asian live streaming as an example, merchants can create draft orders and send bills to customers based on product keywords and customer messages in SHOPLINE. Additionally, to ensure timely product availability, SHOPLINE reserves products for customers based on their messages, such as the desired product quantity. When reserving items, the inventory is occupied, but no order is generated. If no orders are created by the end of the reservation period, the reserved items are released back into inventory.

Notes for Reserving Items

  • You can reserve items for the entire order or by product line item.
If you set a reservation time for the draft order but not for the product line item, the product line item follows the time of the draft order. If you set a reservation time for both the draft order and the product line item, the time specified in the product line takes precedence.
  • You can reserve items in the draft order from both the SHOPLINE admin panel and SC.
  • If no orders are created during the reservation period, the reserved items are released.
