Setting up Nudges

Member System allows you to set up nudge pop-ups. When customers visiting the online store meet specified conditions, a nudge pops up to guide customers to register an account, use points, use discount codes, etc., which can help you better improve customer engagement.

Enabling Nudges

You can enable or disable nudges in Member System at any time.

If you use the POS system, you can enable different nudges for online stores and POS channels.

If the green dot next to Nudges in the menu is lit up, then you have at least one nudge enabled.

Currently, you can set the following 4 types of nudges for online stores in the system:

  • Guide visitors to register and login: The nudge is pushed to daily visitors who visit the store for the first time and are not logged in. Customers can click to open the account creation and login pop-ups.
  • Guide customers to redeem points: The nudge is pushed to customers who have logged in and visited the Cart page or My account page if they have enough points to redeem rewards. Customers can click to open the points spending member component.
  • Guide customers to use their rewards: The nudge is sent to customers who have logged in and visited the Cart page if they have rewards that can be used. (If the customer has both rewards that can be used and enough points to redeem, the nudge to use rewards is prioritized.) Customers can click to open the rewards usage member component.
  • Guide customers to refer and share: The nudge is sent when the customer completes the order and enters the checkout page, or when the link in the Referral management is a product list page or product details page, and the corresponding page link is visited. Customers can click to go to the Referral management sharing page.

Currently, you can set the following 3 types of nudges for POS in the system, switch to POS channel tab to set up :

  • Guide customers to use birthday benefits: The nudge is pushed to POS store staff when the customer logs in and enters the POS Cart page or Checkout page if the customer has received a birthday discount but has not used it. The nudge prompts the staff to celebrate the customer’s birthday and remind the customer to use the birthday discount.
  • Guide customers to redeem points: The nudge is pushed to POS store staff when the customer logs in and enters the POS Cart page or Checkout page if the customer has enough points to redeem rewards. The nudge prompts the staff to guide the customer to use points to redeem discounts or products.
  • Guide customers to use their rewards: The nudge is pushed to POS store staff when the customer logs in and enters the POS Cart page or Checkout page if the customer has rewards that can be used. The nudge prompts the staff to guide the customer to use the rewards they already have.

You can click the Enable button in each nudge to turn on the corresponding nudge, or you can click the Nudges settings button to modify the nudge style.

Setting up Nudge Style

You can set the style of nudges in two ways.

  • Go to Member System > Nudges > Nudges settings.
  • Go to Member System > Branding > Nudges.

Configurable Items

For each nudge pop-up, you can set the content of the nudge pop-up, such as the icon, title, and description. After the modification is completed, the system will display the modified content. If no modification is made, the system will exhibit the default text.

You can also set the rules for displaying nudges.

  • Push frequency: The pop-up frequency follows the browser. If you change browsers or manually clear the browser cache, the frequency will be recalculated.
    • Display every time: Triggered as soon as the nudge conditions are met.
    • Once per day: Can only be triggered once within any 24 hours.
    • Once per week: Can only be triggered once within any 7 days.
    • Displayed only once: Only triggered once for each customer (Only displayed in the “Register and Login” nudge, other nudge modules do not support this option.).
  • Push timing
    • Push immediately when entering the page: Push the pop-up immediately after the consumer enters the page.
    • Push after specific time: Push the pop-up after the consumer enters the page and waits for a period of time.
    • Push after page scrolling: Push the pop-up after the consumer enters the page and scrolls down to a certain percentage of the page.

Currently, nudges in the POS channel only support Push immediately when entering the page.

Viewing Nudge Performance

In the Nudges module, you can view the performance of each nudge in the past 30 days..

Currently, only online store nudge data is supported. Each nudge card provides the following metrics.

  • Guide visitors to register and login: Times of nudges viewed, times of clicks on the register button, and times of actual account registrations through the nudge in the past 30 days.
  • Guide customers to redeem points: Times of nudges viewed, times of clicks on the redeem button, and times of actual rewards redeemed through the nudge in the past 30 days.
  • Guide customers to use their rewards: Times of nudges viewed, times of clicks on the redeem or more button, and times of actual orders applied with the discount code through the nudge in the past 30 days.
  • Guide customers to refer and share: Times of nudges viewed, times of clicks on the referrals button, and times of actual successful friend referrals through the nudge in the past 30 days.
