Motivate customers to spend more and boost your sales with fixed-amount discounts! Fixed-amount discounts offer customers a flat reduction on their entire order or specific products, making them a powerful tool to incentivize purchases.
This guide details how to set up fixed-amount discount codes in your SHOPLINE admin panel, covering both order-level and product-level discounts.

Creating a Fixed-Amount Order Discount
To create a fixed-amount discount code based on orders, follow these steps:

Go to Discounts > Create a discount in your SHOPLINE admin panel. Select Amount off order within the Order discount section.

Configure the following in the basic information section of the campaign:

- Select Discount code.

Enter the Discount code:
- To set a special discount code, such as BLACKFRIDAY or ChristmasSales, enter the code directly.
- To generate a random code, click Generate. Each click generates a different code.
- For multiple discount codes, click the … icon to select Bulk generate or Import.

Fill in the Campaign name:

Enter a title for the campaign, such as "Black Friday Discount."

Customers will see the campaign title on the landing page, the cart page, and the checkout page.

In the Discount setup section:

- Select Fixed amount and enter the discount value (e.g., $10). The currency is based on your store’s settlement currency.

Specify the Discount requirements:
- None: No minimum purchase requirements apply, and customers are eligible for the discount when buying any product.
- Minimum order value: The customer’s order value needs to reach a minimum amount to qualify for the discount.
- Minimum order quantity: Customers need to purchase a minimum quantity to be eligible for the discount.

In the Customer eligibility section, you can select the customers to whom this discount code offer applies:

- All: All customers at your store are entitled to use the discount code.
- Specific customers: Only selected customers are entitled to use the discount code. You can define these customers by searching for them or clicking on them directly from the list. The customer list displays the customer's name if available; otherwise, their email address or mobile phone number will be shown.
- Specific customer groups: The discount code is restricted to specific customer groups within your store. Simply select a group from the list provided. The number next to each group name indicates the total number of customers in that group.
- Specific member tiers: Customers in this membership level are entitled to use the discount code. You need to install a Member System to set customer levels. If you haven’t installed the app yet, you can’t create a discount code for a specific member tier.

If you wish to limit the number of times the discount can be used, configure the following in the Usage limits section:

Total usage limit: Set the total number of times a discount code can be used. For example, if you set it to 100, the discount code can be used a maximum of 100 times collectively by customers, and each customer can use it multiple times.
Note: If multiple discount codes are available for a campaign, this limit is the total number of times each discount code can be used in this discount code campaign.

In the Stack discounts section, set the discount type that can be stacked with this campaign.

In the Active time section, proceed with the following settings:

- For a limited-time offer: Uncheck Never expires and select a date and time for the discount code to expire.
- For an ongoing promotion: Leave Never expires checked to keep the discount code valid indefinitely.
- Click Add to create the discount code.

To create a fixed-amount discount code based on products, follow these steps:

When creating a product discount, you can specify the product range to which the discount code applies in the Applies to section.

- Specific product category: Click Select a category to specify the product categories applicable to the discount, and then click Select.
- Specific product: Click Select product(s) to specify products applicable to this discount, and then click Add.
- Specific variant: Click Select product variants to specify the product variants applicable to the discount, and then click Select.
- Check Apply discount only once per order to limit customers to using the discount code once per order. Customers will receive a fixed amount reduction from eligible orders. If you do not check it, every eligible item in the customer's order will receive a fixed amount reduction when the offer criteria are met. For example, if you set a $10 discount for purchases over $100, every eligible item with a value greater than $100 will receive a $10 reduction.

Disabling a Fixed-Amount Discount
If you wish to end a discount code campaign, click Turn Off in the upper right of the discount code details page.
When a discount code is disabled, customers are no longer entitled to use the discount code. You can re-enable this discount code at any time.
