This guide explains how to manage market languages in your SHOPLINE admin panel. You can add multiple languages to your store and assign them to specific markets, allowing customers to browse and purchase in their preferred language.

Preparing Translations
Before adding a new language, ensure you have the corresponding translations prepared. You can also install a translation app and assign the language to the market.
Adding Languages to Your Store
- Go to Settings > Language in your SHOPLINE admin panel.
- Locate the Multilingual setting section and click Add language.
- Select one or multiple languages from the pop-up list, then click Save.
The selected languages have been successfully added to your store.
Assigning Languages to Markets
By default, new markets use your store's default language. To make other languages available, you need to assign them to the market.
- Go to Settings > Language in your SHOPLINE admin panel.
- Click the globe icon next to the language you want to assign to markets.
- Click Add to market for the market(s) you want to add the language to. Then, click Complete.
Now, the language has been assigned to the desired markets you’ve selected.
Removing Markets from a Language
To remove markets from a specific language, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Language in your SHOPLINE admin panel.
- Click the globe icon next to the language you want to remove markets from.
- Click Remove for the markets you want to remove, then click Complete.
Deleting Languages from the Store
If you no longer need a particular language, you can delete it. Deleting a language permanently removes all translations for it. To re-enable the language, you'll need to add the translations again.
- Go to Settings > Language in your SHOPLINE admin panel.
- Click the trash bin icon next to the language you want to delete in the Supported Languages list.
- Click OK to confirm deletion in the pop-up window.
Note: Deleting a language removes it from all markets. |
Changing the Default Market Language
You can change the default language for your store by following these steps:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Markets.
- Click on your primary market to access its settings page.
- Click Manage next to Domains and Languages.
- In the Language section, click Change default language.
- Select the default language you want to change to and click Complete.
