Points for Attention

• When you enable stacking, items in an order may receive multiple discounts simultaneously.
• To apply both a discount code and an automatic discount to an order, the customer must use a discount code that allows stacking with the automatic discount.
• If the discount code does not permit stacking with automatic discounts, the customer can only use the discount code and will not receive the automatic discount.
• If you allow a free shipping discount code to stack with an automatic free shipping discount, and the customer qualifies for both, they will receive the benefit of the free shipping discount code.
• To apply multiple discount codes to an order simultaneously, each discount code must be set to allow stacking with other discount codes.
• Customers can use a maximum of five discount codes in a single order, and you need to configure the maximum number of discount codes that can be stacked per order.
• Buy X Get Y discount codes can only be stacked with shipping fee discounts, including discount codes and automatic discounts permitted in the store settings.

Setting Up Stacking

To allow discount stacking, follow these steps:

1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Discounts and select an existing discount code or automatic discount campaign.
2. Locate the Stack discounts section and choose the appropriate stacking type:
   

• • Order discount: Applies to all items in your store, including discount codes and automatic discounts.
  • Product discount: Applies to specific product collections, products, or variants, including discount codes and automatic discounts.
  • Shipping discount: Applies when the campaign offers free shipping, including both discount codes and automatic discounts.
  • When you select to stack a specific type of discount, it can be used alongside the corresponding discount code or automatic discount.

Advanced Stacking Settings

To access more advanced discount stacking settings, follow these steps:

1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Discounts and select an existing discount code or automatic discount campaign.
2. Locate the Stack discounts section and click Advanced stacking.
3. Select which types of discount codes and automatic discounts can be stacked for the current campaign. To make discounts stackable, all corresponding types of discounts must have stacking rules configured.
   

Example:

• Campaign types:
  • Discount code A: Percentage discount - Order discount
  • Discount code B: Fixed amount discount - Product discount
  • Discount code C: Free shipping - Shipping discount
• Stacking settings:
  • To enable stacking between Discount Code A and Discount Code B, configure the following settings:
    • In the stacking rules for discount code A, enable stacking with the fixed amount discount code under the product discount category (discount type of discount code B).
    • In the stacking rules for discount code B, enable stacking with the percentage discount code under the order discount category (discount type of discount code A).
  • To enable stacking among Discount Code A, Discount Code B, and Automatic Discount C, configure the following settings:
    • In the stacking rules for discount code A, enable stacking with the fixed amount discount code under the product discount category (discount type of discount code B) and the automatic free shipping discount code under the shipping discount category (discount type of automatic discount C).
    • In the stacking rules for discount code B, enable stacking with the percentage discount code under the order discount category (discount type of discount code A).
    • In the stacking rules for automatic discount C, enable stacking with the percentage discount code under the order discount category (discount type of discount code A).

Configuring Maximum Stacked Discount Codes

If a customer wants to apply multiple discount codes simultaneously, each discount code must be configured to allow stacking with other discount codes.

You need to set the maximum number of discount codes that can be stacked in your store at the same time. If you do not set this maximum, customers may be unable to apply multiple discount codes during checkout. Follow these steps to configure this setting:

1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Checkout Settings.
   
2. Find Offer codes at checkout and configure the maximum number of discount codes that can be stacked for your store. You can allow up to five discount codes.
   

Afterward, eligible discount codes can be stacked and applied together at checkout.
