Data Overview of Flash Sales

 

The data overview page provides a quick snapshot of your flash sale performance, including total sales, order counts, discounts generated, and key performance metrics for a specific period. It also offers detailed data for individual campaigns within that timeframe.

View Daily Data Summary of Your Flash Sales 

To view the daily sales summary for your flash sales, simply go to Apps > Flash Sales in your SHOPLINE admin panel. 

The top section displays important data metrics like total sales, order volume, discount amounts, and ROI generated by flash sales for the current day. Additionally, you'll see the percentage of sales and orders attributed to flash sales compared to your store's overall performance.

Note: Data presented in the Flash Sales app updates hourly, so there may be a slight delay in the information displayed.

 


 

Access Flash Sales Data Overview

Here's how to access the data overview page for your store's flash sales:

  1. From the SHOPLINE admin panel, go to the Apps > Flash Sales
  2. Click any metric above the flash sale list to enter the data overview page.

The data overview page displays overall flash sale performance for a chosen time period. This includes a line chart visualizing sales and order trends, along with detailed information for each campaign that generated data during that timeframe.

 

Date Range Selection

Use the time selector at the top of the page to choose the specific timeframe for which you want to view data.

Metric Explanation

The top section of the data overview displays key metrics that provide a comprehensive view of your flash sale performance within the selected timeframe:

Metric Description 
Sales  The total sales amount from valid orders participating in flash sales. The figure adjusts when refunds are issued.
Percentage of sales from flash sales The ratio of sales from flash sales to your store's total sales, calculated as "Sales from Flash Sales / Store Sales." Store sales refer to those generated directly through SHOPLINE; imported orders are excluded.
Orders  The total number of valid orders participating in flash sales.
Percentage of orders from flash sales The ratio of orders from flash sales to your store's total orders, calculated as "Orders from Flash Sales / Store Orders". Store orders refer to those generated directly through SHOPLINE; imported orders are excluded.
Discount amount The total discount amount applied to valid orders participating in flash sales.
ROI (Return on Investment) ROI = Sales Amount of Flash Sales / Discount Amount of Flash Sales
Average transaction value (ATV) ATV = Sales Amount of Flash Sales / Order Numbers of Flash Sales
Unit per transaction (UPT) UPT = Number of Order Items from Flash Sales / Transaction Numbers of Flash Sales

 

Sales Data Chart

Below the overview metrics, a line chart depicts the sales data for your flash sales, allowing you to track sales trends over time. The legend helps differentiate between the two lines representing sales and orders from flash sales.

Campaign Data

The data overview page also provides detailed information for individual campaigns within the selected time range. Each campaign is represented by a single data entry.

  • Activity name: The name you assigned to the campaign when creating it.
  • Sales: The total sales amount from successful orders participating in this flash sale.
  • Orders: The total number of successful orders participating in this flash sale.
  • Discounted amount: The total discount amount applied to successful orders in this flash sale campaign.
  • ROI: Campaign Sales Amount / Sales Discount Amount 
  • Average transaction value: Campaign Sales Amount / Order Numbers
  • Unit per transaction: Number of Campaign Order Items / Order Numbers

 

Search Activity Name

Use the search bar above the activity list to find specific campaigns by name and view their associated data.

Exporting Activity Data

You can export detailed campaign data to a local file for further analysis. Here's how:

  1. In the Activity data section, click the Export button.

  2. In the pop-up window, select the desired data range.

      • Choose All Activities to export data for all campaigns.
      • To export data of certain activities, check them before their activity names and select the Selected activities option.

  3. Click Export to export the data.
