Creating Discount Campaigns
From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to the Discounts section and click Create a discount in the upper right corner to create a campaign. You can choose from three main discount categories: Order discount, Product discount, or Shipping discount. Under each category, you can choose different discounts. Applicable discounts vary for the two types of discount campaigns.
- Order discount: Applies to the entire order amount. All the products in your store are eligible (e.g., get 20 USD off orders over 100 USD).
- Product discount: Applies to specific collections, products, or variants (e.g., buy 2 get 1 free for specific categories).
- Shipping discount: Offers free shipping for products or orders that meet certain requirements.

Discount Codes
Discount codes provide customers with a way to redeem discounts at checkout. You can create codes that apply to:
- All products in your store
- Specific product collections
- Individual products or variants
- All customers
- Specific customers
- Customer groups (segments)
- Membership levels
When creating a discount code, you can configure the following items:
- Discount code campaign name
- Discount code
- Discount and the conditions
- Applicable products
- Eligible customers
- Usage limits
- Active time and/or period
- Applicable sales channels
- Stacking with other discounts
- Applicable markets
- Discount code style setting
Once you create a new discount code, you can acquire the promotion link to share with your customers. Customers can enter the code at checkout to receive the discount, as long as the code is valid. You can choose to let customers enter discount codes in the Cart page and/or Checkout page, or only in the Checkout page (configure it in the Checkout Settings page). In addition to being used within your online store, discount codes can also be applied at the POS if you enable the POS sales channel.
In the Discounts section, manage your discount codes and view the overall performance of the campaigns. Click the metrics for details, including sales data of each campaign.
Considerations When Creating Discount Codes
Check out the following tips before you create a discount code:
- Discount codes must be unique within your store. Two or more identical discount codes within the store are not allowed.
- You can have multiple active discount codes at a time, and each product can be included in several of them.
- Specify whether the discount code campaign can be stacked with automatic discounts. Keep in mind that automatic discounts take precedence over discount codes.
- Specify whether discount code campaigns can be stacked with other discount codes.
- A maximum of 5 discount codes can be used in a single order. Specify the number of discount codes that can be applied within the store in your SHOPLINE admin panel under Settings > Checkout settings.
- If a discount code can be stacked with other discount codes, the order of the discount application will be based on the order in which the user enters the discount codes.
- To ensure that discount codes work smoothly, avoid using special characters in the discount code.
- You can specify the start and end times of discount codes, which are based on the time zone of your store.

Automatic Discounts
Automatic discounts are applied automatically to the cart or checkout page when specific conditions are met. They offer a convenient way to incentivize purchases without requiring customers to enter codes. You can configure automatic discounts similarly to discount codes, specifying:
- Automatic discount campaign name
- Discount and the conditions
- Applicable products
- Eligible customers
- Usage limits
- Active time and/or period
- Applicable sales channels
- Stacking with other discounts
- Applicable markets
- Automatic discount style setting
In the Discounts section, manage your automatic discount campaigns and view the overall performance. Click the metrics for details, including sales data of each campaign.
Considerations When Creating Automatic Discounts
Check out the following tips before you create an automatic discount:
- An automatic discount can apply to multiple products, but only one automatic discount can be applied to a single product at a time.
- If you create automatic discounts for the same product with overlapping active times, you'll receive a notification about the conflict.
- The campaigns for specific products have higher priority than those for specific product collections, which have higher priority than those for all products.
- While only one automatic discount can apply to a single product, different products in the same order can have different automatic discounts applied. Therefore, multiple automatic discounts may be applied at the same time in an order.
- You can create automatic discount campaigns for specific customer groups or individual customers in your store.
- Automatic discount campaigns of free shipping can be stacked with other automatic discounts. If an order includes a product with free shipping, the entire order will be exempt from shipping costs.
- You can specify the start and end times of automatic discounts, which are based on the time zone of your store.
