Team Bonus

In the Affiliate Marketing System, you can set up team bonuses for your store's affiliates to reward members who contribute to increased sales and to motivate existing affiliates to invite more applicants.

Team bonuses can be enabled only after the Multi-level affiliate feature is turned on. Make sure to set up Multi-level affiliate before initiating team bonuses.

When an affiliate meets the bonus requirements and their team members meet the goals, the affiliate will receive the corresponding team bonus.

Once configured, during the next billing date, the system will calculate orders within that billing period and issue bonuses to qualified affiliates.

  1. Go to Affiliate Marketing System > Personal & team bonuses > Team bonus.
  2. Enable/Disable Affiliate team bonus.
    • Once you have completed the Multi-level affiliate settings, you can enable the team bonus in your store. If your store hasn't activated Multi-level affiliate, you cannot enable the team bonus. Please complete the necessary settings in Multi-level affiliate first.
    • You can choose to enable or disable Affiliate team bonus. Once enabled, you can set rules for the affiliate team bonus.
    • Once disabled, the Affiliate Marketing System stops issuing bonuses.
  3. Bonus rules
    • After enabling Affiliate team bonus, you can set the team levels for calculating bonuses, bonus requirements, and bonus rules. The Affiliate Marketing System will calculate and issue bonuses based on the rules you have set.

Team Levels For Calculating Bonuses

In the team levels for calculating bonuses section, you need to choose the number of levels each affiliate's team will be traced back to when calculating team bonuses. The affiliates themselves will not be counted as a member of the team, and only their subordinate affiliates will be counted. You can choose between 1 to 20 levels. The calculated level refers to the levels of affiliates recruited by an affiliate. If set to 1 level, then each affiliate’s directly recruited first-level affiliates will be counted on their team, and the affiliates themselves will not be included. For example: If affiliate A has recruited affiliates B, C, and D (B, C, and D are A's first-level affiliates); And affiliate B has recruited affiliates E and F (E and F are B's first-level affiliates and simultaneously A's second-level affiliates).

  • When you set the level to level 1:
    • The team members for affiliate A would be: affiliates B, C, and D (excluding A)
    • The team members for affiliate B would be: affiliates E and F (excluding B)
  • When you set the level to level 2:
    • The team members for affiliate A would be: affiliates B, C, D, E, and F (excluding A)

Bonus Threshold

Bonus thresholds are the requirements that an affiliate must meet to receive team bonuses. Only after meeting these requirements can the affiliate earn team bonuses based on the team's total sales or orders. If affiliates do not meet these requirements, they will not receive team bonuses.

The bonus thresholds include three settings: Bonus calculation settings, Bonus requirements, and the Minimum sales requirement.

If you do not wish to set a threshold that affiliates must reach to obtain team bonuses, you can set the Minimum sales requirement to 0.

  1. Bonus Calculation Settings: In the Bonus calculation settings section, you can select the scope of orders to be counted when calculating the threshold for each affiliate's team bonus.
    • All referral orders: All orders brought in by the affiliate, including the affiliate's self-purchases and orders placed by customers through the affiliate's links or discount codes.
    • Only self-purchase orders: Referral orders generated by the affiliate's self-purchases, including those made through their link shares, self-purchase links, or discount codes.

Note: Multi-level referral orders are not included. To avoid repeat counting, regardless of the calculation range, orders placed by customers through sub-affiliate links or discount codes are not counted for the primary affiliate's commission.

  2. Bonus Requirements
    • Affiliates need to meet certain requirements to earn team bonuses. You can set the method for calculating the requirements for receiving bonuses. The Affiliate Marketing System currently offers two calculation methods:
      • Based on order amount: Calculated based on the total value of these orders. You can view the total order value on the order page.
      • Based on product retail price: Calculated based on the selling price of each product in these orders.

  3. Minimum Sales Requirement
    • After selecting a calculation method, when the amount achieved based on this method reaches the minimum sales requirement you set, the affiliate is considered to have met the Bonus Thresholds and can receive team bonuses.
    • If you do not wish to set a Bonus Threshold for affiliates, you can set this threshold to 0. In this case, in Multi-level affiliate, every affiliate can earn team bonuses based on the performance of their team members.

Bonus Content

Bonus content refers to the rules for calculating bonuses for an affiliate once they meet the requirements for earning bonuses based on members' data. When an affiliate's team members meet the bonus targets you have set, the affiliate can earn corresponding bonuses.

Bonus content includes three settings: Bonus target, Bonus type, and Period.

  1. Bonus target
For calculating team bonuses, the Affiliate Marketing System will take into account the data from all members of the affiliates’ team. There are three calculation methods available:
    • Based on team sales (order amount): Calculated using the total order value generated by all members of the team.
    • Based on team sales (retail price): Calculated using the selling price of each product in the orders generated by all members of the team.
    • Based on referral orders of the team: Calculated using the total number of orders generated by all members of the team.
Note: No matter which calculation method you choose, only orders brought in by each affiliate as a direct affiliate are counted, and orders attributed through multi-level affiliates are not.

  2. Bonus type
You can set the bonus type to issue bonuses by percentage or with a fixed amount after affiliates achieve their targets. For example, you can set different target tiers for affiliates, allowing them to enjoy different bonuses as they reach different targets. You can set up to 5 tiers of bonuses.
    • Percentage: When the affiliate's team reaches specific targets, the system issues the bonus to the affiliate based on a percentage of the achieved amount (if you set the Target type as Based on referral orders of the team, the system only supports issuing a fixed amount of bonus).
    • Fixed amount: When the affiliate's team reaches specific targets, the affiliate receives a fixed amount of bonus.
  3. For example: If you set a goal for a team to reach 50 orders to earn a $100 bonus, and affiliate A's team achieves 65 orders in the next billing cycle, then affiliate A would be eligible for a $100 bonus.

  4. Period
You can set the period for issuing bonuses by selecting One-time or Monthly. Once set, the system calculates and issues bonuses accordingly on the next billing date.
    • One-time: The system issues bonuses only once based on orders of each affiliate's team in the current billing cycle on the next billing date.
      Note:
      • If you want to switch the bonus method, you need to update the bonus period.
      • If you want to consecutively issue One-time bonuses, you also need to update the period. You should first switch to Monthly, click Update, then switch back to One-time, and click Update again. On the next billing date, the Affiliate Marketing System will issue the One-time bonus based on your updated settings. If you wish to regularly distribute team bonuses to affiliates, you can opt for Monthly. The system calculates bonuses based on the orders of each affiliate's team in the current billing cycle on every billing date.

Editing Team Bonuses

On the same page, you can edit your bonus settings at any time. Once edited, the system issues bonuses based on your updated settings on the next billing date.

On each billing date, the Affiliate Marketing System calculates affiliates' team bonuses only based on the most up-to-date rules.

Note:
  • If you want to switch the bonus method, you need to update the bonus period.
  • If you want to consecutively issue One-time bonuses, you also need to update the period. You should first switch to Monthly, click Update, then switch back to One-time, and click Update again. On the next billing date, the Affiliate Marketing System issues the one-time bonus based on your updated settings.
