SHOPLINE POS Payments Terminal

 

SHOPLINE POS Payments maintains a direct connection between SHOPLINE POS App and payment terminal to reduce reconciliation issues with manual payments, and offers  your customers a reliable, secure, convenient payment experience.  It allows your customers making payments using credit card, debit card, e-wallet, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, WeChat Pay, Alipay Pay, GrabPay, and Atome, etc.

1. Applying for SHOPLINE POS Payments Methods

  • SHOPLINE has launched the SHOPLINE POS Payments methods to support retail stores.
  • Learn how to set up POS payments in SHOPLINE Admin and start making payments from payment terminals.
  • Before setting up SHOPLINE POS Payments, you must complete SHOPLINE's customer due diligence to make payments from payment terminals. Once you apply for SHOPLINE Payments, you will enable your online and offline payments.
  • If you only conduct POS transactions and your online store does not require an online payments option, please contact us via SHOPLINE Admin's real-time chat to activate offline POS transactions only.

⚠️ Note: SHOPLINE POS Payments methods does not accept individual account applications.

 

 

 

If you have not completed the application for SHOPLINE POS Payments, please go to Merchant Backend > POS > Settings > Payments > Modify payment plan and click "Activate now".

2. How to Get a Payment Terminal

Step 1

Complete the application for SHOPLINE POS Payments and pass the advanced verification, then go to  your Merchant Backend POS > Settings > Payments > Modify payment plan, select the  store that you want to install terminal, and click Pos Payment Management.

Reminder: If POS doesn’t show on the navigation bar, please click Channels and add POS to your navigation.

Step 2

After entering the POS Payment Management, click Terminal Management > Get Terminal, select terminal and quantity by your requirement.  Click Terminal  Information to view more details about the terminal . After confirming the terminal model and quantity, click Next Step to enter Store Information.

Reminder:  SHOPLINE POS Payments offer different terminal models by region.

AU: Adyen S1F2, Adyen V400m

SG: Adyen S1F2

US: Adyen S1F2

Step 3

Selecting your store,confirm your business form, company name, email, and contact phone number. Then fill in the other store information required for the terminal application, click Submit Data. If there is no store on Store Information page, please go back to last page (POS Payment Management) click Bind a store.  

*Note: Only one store application is accepted at a time. If more than one store needs to apply for a terminal, please submit multiple times. SHOPLINE Payments POS-related notification emails will be sent to the "Store Email" you provided.

 

Step 4

After submitting the application data, please wait for SHOPLINE Payments team’s review (expect 1-3 business days). You can check the review status and result by clicking View Details  on the POS Payments Management page.

 

Step 5

  • Once your application is approved, you will receive the rent bill email,  Approved and Unpaid tags will appear on the POS Payments Management page.

  • Click POS > Settings > Payments > Modify payment plan > POS Payments Management > Terminal Management, click View Details to complete the transfer.

  • After clicking Upload proof of payment, the transfer account funds will appear. It is recommended to include a note of your business name during the transfer to help staff quickly verify your transaction.

  • Click Upload proof of payment, fill in the transfer amount and upload the transfer voucher, then click Confirm Submission.

  • After uploading, please wait for the staff to confirm the receipt of the rent bill.
  • Once confirmed, SHOPLINE staff will contact you to complete the installation and set up the payment terminal.

3. SHOPLINE Payments Transaction Records

  • Click POS > Settings > Payments > Modify payment plan > Account and enter in SHOPLINE Payments Account, input Terminal Serial Number in Search box and click Search icon to view the transaction details of the terminal.

  • Click the View button to see more details about the selected transaction.

  • Alternatively, go back to the SHOPLINE Payment Account page, click Export Statement Report button in the upper right corner, then choose Transaction or Statements, click Apply to export the report.

 

 

 

4. How to Renew Your Payment Terminal

You can check the expiration date of the terminal, you will receive a renewal email before expiring. You should pay the renewal fee before the deadline that is sent with email, otherwise SHOPLINE staff will uninstall the terminal.

 

5. How to Return Your Payment Terminal

If you don’t use the terminal any more, please let us know. And Return Terminal in our portal.

 

  • Go to  POS > Settings > Payments > Modify payment plan > Pos Payment Management > Terminal Management, click View details

 

  • Click Return, check the returning terminal and click Confirm, SHOPLINE staff will contact you to uninstall.

 

 

 

6. Important Notes

How to connect the POS payment terminal to Wi-Fi?

  • Before attempting to connect the terminal to a Wi-Fi device, please ensure that your Wi-Fi device's password is at least 8 characters long; otherwise, the terminal will not be able to find your Wi-Fi network.

Why can't I get a POS payment terminal?

  • There are several reasons why you may not be able to purchase a POS payment terminal.
    • SHOPLINE POS Payments application data review failed.
    • Payment methods not set up.
    • Terminal management review failed.
  • Ensure you have completed the above requirements. If you encounter other issues when purchasing a POS payment terminal, please contact us through SHOPLINE Admin's real-time chat.

What is the process after paying for the POS terminal and receiving the hardware device?

  • Our merchant success personnel will contact you to arrange the delivery of the POS payment terminal to you.

What types of POS terminals does SHOPLINE support?

Why can't my POS payment terminal accept payments?

  • Confirm whether the terminal is powered on and connected, and whether the last transaction was completed (bill printed).
  • Check if the store has activated the corresponding card type payment.
  • Check if the terminal software version is the latest. If not, please update to the latest version. If the update fails, please contact Adyen@support.com.
