Customizing Payment Methods at Checkout

 

Tailor your checkout payment options for smoother customer journeys! This guide shows you how to customize payment methods displayed on your checkout page. Follow the instructions to prioritize the most popular options, hide those rarely used, and ultimately enhance the checkout experience for your customers.

Sorting Payment Methods

To sort payment methods displayed on your checkout page that better suits your customers’ needs, follow these steps:

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Checkout Settings.

  2. Locate Payment method configuration > Payment method sorting and click Enter configuration.

  3. Click and hold the draggable dots icon of the payment methods to drag and drop them to the preferred positions, reordering them as you like.

  4. Click Update to save the settings. If you want to reset the payment order to the default settings, click the Reset button. 

 


 

Hiding Payment Methods

Consider hiding certain payment methods on the checkout page if they are less used or if doing so aligns better with your selling strategies. Follow these steps:

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Checkout Settings.

  2. Locate Payment method configuration > Payment method hiding and click Enter configuration.

  3. Click Add a filter.

  4. Create a filter by filling in the required information in the pop-up:

    • Filter Type: Choose to hide options based on the payment method or payment amount filter.
    • Payment amount (only available in the payment amount filter type): Set the amount below which you want to hide certain payment methods. 
    • Filtered payment methods: Select the payment methods you want to hide from customers. (If the payment amount filter type is selected, the options checked take effect only when the payment amount is below the set threshold.)
  1. Click Complete to add the filter.

 

Your created filters will be displayed under the corresponding filter tabs. Utilize the provided editing icons to enable/disable, edit, or delete them as needed.
