Setting Up Email Notifications
The email notification feature in Member System automates sending emails to customers in specific scenarios. Pre-designed notification templates are already available in the system, covering various notifications such as welcoming new members and notifying them about birthday points.
This guide will show you how to enable email notifications and edit email templates, allowing you to personalize your outreach and strengthen customer interactions.
Enabling/Disabling Email Notifications
You can access email notifications in two ways: through the centralized email management module or in the settings for individual modules.
Emails Module
From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Member System. Install the app if you haven’t already.
Within the app, go to the Emails module to access all email notifications.
Check the emails you want to send automatically and click Edit to configure their templates.
Each notification includes a Statistics panel for tracking sent emails, open rates, and click-through rates.
Settings of Individual Modules Sections
For Points, Referrals, Store credits, and Gift card modules, configure email notifications on their respective pages.
From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Member System. Install the app if you haven’t already.
Within the app, go to the desired module and locate the Emails section.
Check the emails you want to enable and click Edit to configure the templates. Clicking More will redirect you to the Emails module.

Configuring Email Templates
Follow these steps to configure email templates:
| Note: Template editing is not supported in the Lite plan. To customize email templates, consider upgrading your plugin plan to the Growth or Pro plan. |
In the Member System app, go to the Emails section.
Hover your mouse over the desired email and click Edit to open the email editor.
Configure the template based on your preferences using the provided components.
Click Publish to save and submit the template for review.
The new email template will automatically become active after it's approved for content compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which buyers will receive membership tier and points-related emails?
The following emails are sent only to registered members who have activated their membership accounts. Guests and temporary accounts will not receive these emails.
Membership Tier Emails
- First-Time Membership: Sent when a buyer becomes a member for the first time
- Membership Upgrade: Sent when a buyer is upgraded to a higher membership tier
- Membership Downgrade: Sent when a buyer is downgraded to a lower membership tier
Points Notification Emails
- Points Earned: Sent when a buyer earns points
- Birthday Points Reward: Sent when a buyer receives birthday reward points
- Points Redeemed: Sent when a buyer redeems points
- Points Expiration Reminder: Sent before a buyer’s points are about to expire
