Variants Multiple Images: Adding Multiple Images for Variants

The Variants Multiple Images app allows you to configure multiple images for a variant and display them in an image carousel on your store. You can also customize how variant images appear on desktop and mobile, ensuring the layout matches your store's theme. This guide explains how to install the app, add multiple images to your variants, and configure display settings.

 

 

Installing the App

To install the Variants Multiple Images app, follow these steps:

  1. Search for the Variants Multiple Images app in the SHOPLINE App Store.
  2. Click Install to authorize the app and complete the installation process.1.2.png
  3. Optionally, pin the app to the Apps section in your admin panel for easy access.

How to Add Multiple Images for Variants

To add multiple images for variants and display them in an image carousel, follow these steps:

  1. In the Variants Multiple Images app, find the product you want to configure and click the pencil icon in the Options column. The pencil icon is grayed out for products without variants.

  2. On the configuration page, you can add up to 10 images for a single variant. You have two options for adding images:
    • Manually configure individual variants: Click on a variant to expand the image uploader, then add the desired images. You can choose from the product's main images and file library, or upload from your computer.

    • Batch configure multiple variants: Select the variants or use the top attribute options for quick selection. Click Batch editing and add images in the pop-up side panel. You can upload images from your computer, select from the file library, or copy images from existing variants by clicking Reuse existing SKU images.

  3. After uploading the images, click Update in the upper right corner to save your changes.

  4. Return to the product list page, click the eye icon to preview the effect, and enable the app.

Configuring Display Settings for Variants Multiple Images

The Display settings option lets you control how variant images appear on your storefront, including the desktop layout, mobile layout, and whether variant images show in the Add to cart popup.

Note: Display settings are only supported on OS 3.0 themes. If your store uses an earlier theme version, these layout options will not take effect on your storefront.

To configure display settings:

  1. In the Variants Multiple Images app, click Display settings in the upper-right corner.

  2. Under Desktop display, select a Layout option:
    • Thumbnail grid: Displays variant images in a thumbnail grid below the main image. This is the default layout for all stores.
    • Two columns: Displays variant images in a two-column grid layout.
  3. Under Mobile display, select a Layout option:
    • Show thumbnails: Displays thumbnail images below the main image. This is the default layout for all stores.
    • Hide thumbnails: Hides thumbnail images on mobile. Shoppers can navigate between images using a page indicator.

  4. Under Add to cart popup, select how variant images appear in the Add to Cart popup:

    • Hide variant images: Does not display variant images in the popup. This is the default for existing stores.
    • Show variant images: Displays variant images in the Add to cart popup.
    Note: The Add to cart popup settings apply only when the Add to cart button app is enabled for your store.
  5. Click Confirm to save your changes.
