Setting Up Low Stock Notifications

The Low Stock Notification feature in Advanced Inventory Management helps you monitor your product inventory levels. When inventory falls below a predefined threshold, you will receive notification emails. This allows you to decide whether to remove items from your store or restock them. Follow this guide to learn how to set up low stock notifications for improved inventory management.

Installing the App

To use the  Low Stock Notification feature, follow these steps to download and install the Advanced Inventory Management app:

1. In your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Go to App Store.  
2. Search for the Advanced Inventory Management app and click Install.
   
3. Optionally, pin the app to the Apps section in your admin panel for easy access.
   

Configuring Low Stock Notifications

In the app, you can create a low stock notification plan using one of the following methods:

Using Our Default Plan

The app provides a default notification plan, which you can activate by clicking Turn on.

In this plan, the following settings are applied:

• All products are automatically included in low-stock monitoring.
• If a product's total inventory (including all variants) falls below 10 units, it is marked as out of stock.
• Notifications are sent to the store's email address during weekdays (Monday to Friday).

Creating Your Own Plan

To customize a notification plan, follow these steps: 

1. Click Get Started in the Create your plan section.
   
2. Choose the product variants to monitor by selecting either All variants or Variants of my choice. Click Next.
   
3. Configure the following for the notification plan:
   

• • Plan name
  • Notification email (Send To)
  • Inventory level alert
  • Notification Date
  • Time zones and time

4. Set additional rules, including:
   

• • Don't send notifications if none of the variants reach the threshold 
  • Don't monitor variants marked under 'Continue to sell when out of stock' 

5. Click Confirm to save your settings.
   
6. Return to the Low Stock Notification settings page and enable the plan you created.
   

To check which variants are currently out of stock, click the Send notification now button in the desired notification plan. The system will scan all product variants based on the plan and send you an email listing the products and variants that are out of stock.
