  4. Select which module(s) you want to migrate.
    • For basic module migration, you can choose to migrate the contents of customers and products independently.

    • For 301 redirection migration, it can be configured based on the settings on WooCommerce to ensure that the corresponding link jumps normally after migration.

    • For merchants on Google Shopping Ads, SHOPLINE provides the one-click migration of GMC Feed to ensure that the product data synchronized to GMC before and after migration is consistent, and does not affect the effect of ads already placed before migration. To migrate the GMC Feed, expand Ad platform migration settings and check the box in front of Google Merchant Center Feed. Then, follow the steps below:
      1. Upload the GMC Feed file: Go to GMC first, change your GMC account language to English, and download the product Feed backup file. By uploading the pre-migration GMC Feed file, SHOPLINE can compare the data during Feed synchronization through Smart Feed to ensure the consistency of data before and after migration.
      2. Set Google Shopping Feed Product ID format: Choose the synchronization method for Product ID on WooCommerce. The available options are Google Listings and Ads and Feed For Google Shopping.

Note: The Feed ID format can be viewed on GMC to see the previously synchronized item ID style.

  5. After making your selections for migration, click Start Migration to migrate the store.
  6. After the data is migrated, you can further improve the store website configuration. In addition to the basic store template configuration, payment configuration, advertising pixel settings, meta verification, sitemap submission, etc., it also includes ads FEED synchronization. The advertising pixel settings need to remain consistent with the original platform ID.

Considerations

  • Before migration, all email notifications related to customers and orders need to be turned off to avoid sending emails automatically to customers after customers are created in the store.

  • When synchronizing Feed, the original ID synchronization rules must be used. Incorrect and inconsistent rules may affect the effect of placed ads.
Note: If the product ID rule setting fails and has already been synchronized to Google Merchant Center, you can delete or keep the data and then set the correct rule again for re-migration. New data will overwrite the current data. The sales area code can be viewed on the GMC for the corresponding code of the previously loaded item ID.
  • Repeated migration will overwrite data. For example, product A is migrated to SHOPLINE, and you  modified it in SHOPLINE. If you migrate product A again, the product A modified in SHOPLINE will be overwritten with new data.
Note: If other migration tools were used previously, such as form import and Shopify one-click migration of the product module, the Feed ID rule for previously migrated items will not take effect. If a product handle contains special characters and is migrated multiple times, the parsing result may differ each time due to the symbol parsing rule. As a result, a new product may be created during repeated migration.
  • SKU migration problem: SHOPLINE generates SKUs according to the Cartesian product of attribute values, that is, different attributes of a product are arranged and combined to obtain all possible product types. Therefore, when the additional generated SKU does not exist in WooCommerce (WooCommerce can have SKUs with only partial attributes), the price and inventory of this SKU default to the corresponding price and inventory in condition Any. If the alias of the attribute value differs from the standard name and the SKU is set with no attributes, both standard name and alias attributes will be generated in the product.
  • Product promotional price: When there is a promotion price and a promotion price time limit, the regular price is the SHOPLINE sales price. When there is a promotion price but no promotion price time limit, the promotion price is the SHOPLINE sales price. When there is no promotion price, the regular price is the SHOPLINE sales price.
  • Product short description field: Migration is not supported due to format unmatching. WooCommerce's short description field is in HTML format and SHOPLINE is in TXT format.
  • SHOPLINE supports the account registration process for customers without their awareness. In the login page, they can activate their account simply by directly entering the account password and entering a verification code to verify the email.
  • Your SHOPLINE store needs to enable phone number sign-in. Otherwise, customers who registered with only phone numbers are not able to login after your store migration. You can go to Settings > Customer account to check the configuration.

FAQs

Why is the displayed quantity of migrated products inconsistent with the actual number of migrated products?

Migration of smart product categorization is not supported. The quantity of migrated products includes the quantity of products, SKUs, categories, and binding relations between products and categorization.

Why does the number of customers displayed in the admin panel differ from the number of migrated customers?

Because customer statistics are not updated in a real-time manner, there is a data delay of about 1.5 hours (for example, if 40,000 customer data is migrated, the total number displayed in the admin may be only 20,000, and it will take over an hour for the data to be updated and displayed correctly).
