Marketing Calendar
The Marketing Calendar app provides different festival atmosphere decorations to create festival atmospheres for your store on special holidays. You can view different holidays and prepare your store for festival promotions in advance by choosing the templates and effects you want to decorate your store with.
When creating a festival decoration in Marketing Calendar, you can set the validity period, decoration, animation, and duration.
In this article, we’ll recommend a list of festivals and displays and walk through how to set the right atmosphere for your store.
Recommended Festivals and Display
- On the Marketing Calendar app homepage, you can view recommended festivals, including their names, times, applicable categories, countries and regions, etc.
- After selecting a festival, you can view specific information on the pop-up window:
- Festival name: name of this festival.
- Festival description: further details, like its source and customs, and so forth.
- Date: Specific time of this festival.
- Applicable collection: categories of products suitable for sales promotion.
- Applicable area: regions suitable for sales.
- Preview image: effect pictures of this festival, through which you can understand what your store will look like after setting the festival decoration.

- You can also view all the festivals that you have configured:
- Current festival: a festival for which an decoration is being displayed in your store at this moment. Only one festival can take effect for your store at a time.
- Scheduled festivals: festivals that you have configured but have not started yet.
- Previous festivals: festivals that you have configured and have ended.
Festival Settings
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Marketing Calendar app.
- On the app homepage, select the desired recommended festival. Then, in the pop-up window, click Set now.
- Switch the Display festival decorations toggle according to your needs.
- In Basic settings, set the Start time and End time of the festival decoration. Each festival has its start time and end time by default. You can adjust these parameters as you wish.
- In Display settings, set the following parameters:

- Show animation: If you choose to enable the animation, you need to set the Animation density (Light, Medium, Heavy). You can preview the effect in the preview area.
- Display the design: You can choose not to display the top or bottom decorations.
- Display page: You can set the pages that display the festival decoration.
- Ways of hide effects: You can set when the festival decoration is hidden.
- After a certain time: The decoration will be automatically hidden for a certain time after customers enter the page.
- After scrolling down the page: The decoration will be automatically hidden after customers scrolls down the page to a certain point.
Recommended Practices
- Creating festival decorations:
- When a festival is coming, sellers need to fine-tune their page, store homepage, and product detail pages, to create an appealing festival atmosphere for customers.
- You can design and adjust advertisement page content on the smart landing page, and optimize your pages based on the suggestions given. After applying the festival atmosphere animation to your store, you can update festival-themed pictures on Instagram, and then synchronize them to your store's homepage.
- Design gameplays:
- In some relaxing and worth-celebrating festivals, a good store design with a festive atmosphere will attract customers, and interesting interaction can help create more user value. For instance, you can add a SHOPLINE Lucky wheel in your store, which will give shoppers a better experience.
- Gifts and gift banners as part of a time-limited sales promotion are also an effective way to boost sales. If you want to increase the average transaction value per customer, membership points would be a good choice.
- Invite customers:
- After decorating your store and designing gameplays, you need to send invitations to customers. SHOPLINE offers you various marketing tools to help you reach customers.
