How to Authorize an eBay Store

Important Notes Before You Start

  • Unlimited Stores: You can authorize as many eBay stores as needed to connect with your SHOPLINE Multichannel Connect app.
  • Supported Regions: Currently, only accounts from the US eBay site can be linked. Stay tuned for updates on additional supported regions.
  • Main Account Only: Only the primary account associated with your eBay store can be used for authorization.
  • Network & Device Consistency: For a smoother authorization process, it's recommended to use the same network and computer you typically use to access your eBay account.
  • Unique Connection: Each eBay store can only be authorized for one SHOPLINE Multichannel Connect app. To connect to a different SHOPLINE store, you'll need to first delete the store within the original app.
Note: While deleting a store won't affect your channel data, all orders, products, and associated inventory within the app will be permanently removed. Proceed with caution!

Authorization Procedure

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Channels > Multichannel Connect. Install the app if you haven't already.

Managing Authorized Stores

Once you've authorized your eBay stores, you can manage them in Settings > Store Management. Here's what you can do:

  • Visit store: Click the link icon to open your eBay store directly.
  • Edit name: Click the pencil icon to change the store name displayed within the app.
  • Re-authorize: eBay authorization is valid for six months. To avoid service disruptions, click the refresh icon to re-authorize before it expires or if you change your eBay login password.
  • Delete: Click the trash bin icon to remove the store from the app when you no longer need it connected.
Notes:
  • Deleting a store permanently removes all associated data within Multichannel Connect. Please proceed with caution!
  • If you have enabled the Channel orders are automatically imported into SHOPLINE feature, deleting an eBay store will NOT remove previously imported orders in your SHOPLINE admin's Orders section. (SHOPLINE doesn't currently support deleting imported orders.) Re-authorizing the same eBay store with the same Seller ID and importing orders with matching order numbers may create duplicate orders within SHOPLINE.
