Location is the location information facilitating inventory management, delivery, and pickup.
If you plan to start in-store pickup or local delivery, you need to set up a location to provide local customers with pickup or shipping services. Of course, you can also set up multiple locations to help you manage your business services, including but not limited to specifying which inventory locations provide pickup services and which products support in-store pickup. Only when in-store pickup is set up, can local customers select in-store pickup once the order is completed.
If you have multiple warehouses, you also need to create multiple locations for inventory management.
