SHOPLINE Payments POS Terminal User Guide (US)
SHOPLINE Payments integrates your POS sales channel with POS payment terminals, helping reduce manual reconciliation efforts while providing customers with a secure, stable, and seamless checkout experience. Customers can complete payments using credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets (including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, and more).
This article will guide you through activating and applying for a SHOPLINE Payments POS terminal, as well as managing device setup, transaction inquiries, renewals, and returns—so you can efficiently operate and manage your POS payment system.

Enabling SHOPLINE Payments for POS
To enhance your retail operations, SHOPLINE Payments now supports the POS sales channel. Before you can accept payments via a POS terminal, you must complete SHOPLINE’s Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. Once your application is approved, both your online store and POS payment features will be activated simultaneously.
| Note: You must add at least one location and subscribe to a POS plan before applying for a SHOPLINE Payments POS terminal. For details, refer to the "Managing Locations" and "Subscribing a POS Plan" sections in this Help Center. |
To complete the application, follow the steps below:
- From your SHOPLINE Admin, go to POS > Settings > Payments > Payment methods, then click Activate now.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your application. When filling out the Business Information section, pay special attention to the following:

Ensure Physical store is enabled and the applicable locations are selected.

Under Which non-cash payment methods does your physical store accept?, select your preferred non-cash payment options: Card terminal and/or Tap to Pay.

Under SHOPLINE Payments recommends the following payment methods, enable the required options: Card Reader and/or Tap to Pay.
- Click Save to save your settings. You can return later to make changes if needed. Once all information is complete and correct, click Save and continue to complete the application.

How to Apply for a POS Payment Terminal
Once your SHOPLINE Payments (POS) account is activated and your KYC verification is approved, you can proceed to apply for a POS payment terminal.
Step 1: Enable Payment Methods and Bind a Store

From your SHOPLINE Admin, go to Settings > Payments. Under SHOPLINE Payments, click Account to access the Payment Account Center.

Go to Manage payment methods > Offline store.

Select your target store and click Bind a Store or Activate.
- If the store has already activated POS payments, you can proceed to the next step.
- If the store is not listed, click Bind a Store, enable the Physical store application, and submit the request.
| Note: If you do not see the Offline store tab after clicking Bind a Store, it means all stores have already completed the setup. You can proceed to the POS payment management page. |
Step 2: Select Terminal Model and Quantity

In the Payment Account Center, go to Manage payment methods > Offline store, then click Terminal Management.

On the Terminal Management page, click Get Terminal.

Select the desired terminal model, service type, billing type, and quantity (you can click Terminal Information to view device specifications). Then click Next Step.

On the Store Information page, select the store, confirm or complete the required information, then click Submit Data.

Step 3: Payment and Review
SHOPLINE will complete the review within approximately 3–5 business days after KYC approval. You can check the status in Terminal Management > View details.
Once approved, the status will display Approved / Unpaid. Follow the steps below to complete the payment:

Click View details to open the Rental Details page.

Click Upload proof of payment. In the pop-up window, follow the instructions to complete the bank transfer using the provided account details.

After completing the transfer, click Transferred. Please upload proof of payment.

Enter the transfer amount and upload your proof of payment.
- Click Confirm submission to submit your payment information.

Step 4: Activate and Start Using
After your payment is confirmed, SHOPLINE will assist with device setup and configuration.
To enable POS payments:

Go to Channels > POS > Settings > Payments.

In the SHOPLINE Payments section, click Settings.

Select the supported payment methods (e.g., Tap to Pay, card payments).
- Click Update to complete the setup.
Viewing SHOPLINE Payments Transaction Records
You can view all POS transaction records in the SHOPLINE Payments Admin:
- From your SHOPLINE Admin, go to POS > Settings > Payments.

Click Account under SHOPLINE Payments to access the Payment Account Center.
- Go to Transactions.
- Enter the terminal Serial Number to search for specific transactions.

Click View to check transaction details.
You can also export transaction reports from Manage reports.
Renewing a POS Payment Terminal
Before the terminal expires, you will receive a renewal notification. You can check the expiration date in Manage merchants > Manage payment methods > Terminal Management.
Please complete the renewal before the due date. Otherwise, the device will be deactivated and scheduled for return.
Returning a POS Payment Terminal
If you no longer need the device, follow the steps below to request a return:
- Go to Manage merchants > Manage payment methods > Terminal Management.

Locate the device you want to return, then click View details.

Click Return.

Select the terminal(s) to return and confirm.
After submission, SHOPLINE will contact you to arrange device collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How do I connect to Wi-Fi?
Make sure your Wi-Fi password is at least 8 characters long. Otherwise, the terminal may not detect the network.
Q2: Why can’t I apply for a POS terminal?
Possible reasons include:
- SHOPLINE Payments application has not been approved
- Payment methods have not been activated
- Terminal application was not approved
Please ensure all required setup steps are completed.
Q3: What should I do after receiving the device?
The SHOPLINE Merchant Success team will contact you to assist with device installation and activation.
Q4: Which terminal models are supported?
Currently supported model: Adyen S1F2
Q5: Why is my terminal unable to accept payments?
Please check the following:
- The device is powered on and connected to the network
- The previous transaction has been completed
- The required card types are enabled
- The system is updated to the latest version
