POS transaction data reports compile essential sales, payment, and discount details from your stores. By comparing data across stores, you'll gain valuable insights:
- Identify top-performing stores: Understand which locations are driving the most revenue and customer engagement.
- Analyze payment trends: Discover preferred payment methods across your customer base and tailor your payment options accordingly.
- Evaluate discount strategies: Compare the effectiveness of different promotions across stores and refine your approach for maximum profitability.

Viewing Data on Your POS App
On the SHOPLINE POS app, you can view sales data by shift, day closing, and cash tracking to gain insights into sales performance and client behavior. Follow the steps below:
Note: SHOPLINE POS supports data viewing but not exporting. To export your transaction data reports, follow the steps outlined in the Exporting Reports from SHOPLINE Admin section. |
- In your SHOPLINE POS app, click the hamburger icon on the upper left corner to expand the left navigation bar.
- Click Reconciliation to view the sales data. Three types of data are available:

Shift: Displays a summary of sales data, including sales, refunds, and total order value for the current cashier shift. Tap the amount for each value to view respective data details.

Day closing: Displays transaction data of the current cashier billing period for all shifts, usually used for financial reconciliation. You can view transaction data of each shift in the current billing period, including Business data, Payment data, and Sales category. The billing period's time is displayed below on the page.

Cash tracking: If cash tracking is enabled, you can view details about the amount deposited into/withdrawn from the cash drawer at each shift. Tap a single entry to view details. For more information, refer to POS - Shift Management.
Exporting Reports from SHOPLINE Admin
From your SHOPLINE admin panel, you can view and export your transaction data reports. This enables you to gain insights into transaction data and customer behavior for further data analysis and tracking.
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Channels > POS > Report. In the Transaction reports section, click on the desired report to access the detailed data page.
- Set the report conditions using filters based on your needs and view the reports for insights. The following uses Payment methods: detailed report as a demo example.
- To export a transaction report, apply preferred filtering criteria and click Export data. The reports will be exported and downloaded in CSV or Excel format.
