Usage Requirements
To use the above hardwares with your SHOPLINE POS, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Latest version of SHOPLINE POS
- A compatible iPad or iPhone running iOS 13 or later, or a compatible Android device running version 7.0 (Nougat) or later
Installing the Cash Drawer
USB Connection
Connect the cash drawer to the receipt printer with the provided cash drawer cable. Plug the larger end of the cable into the cash drawer and the smaller end into the receipt printer.
Bluetooth Connection
Follow these steps to connect the cash drawer to your receipt printer via Bluetooth:
- Open your POS app and tap the hamburger icon in the upper left corner, then click Setting.
- Go to Hardware management and select Add a hardware.
- On the "Select hardware type" page, choose Receipt Printer.
- Select Bluetooth as the connection method.
- Choose the cash drawer you wish to connect to the printer.
Opening the Cash Drawer
You can manually open the cash drawer using the accompanying key or wirelessly from the terminal device. The terminal device is connected to the cash drawer through the receipt printer. The cash drawer opens automatically after each transaction or when you click the three-dot Button > Open the cashier at the upper right corner of the cart in the SHOPLINE POS app.
