Sending Receipts to Customers
To enhance the overall shopping experience, you can send receipts to customers after a transaction is completed. SHOPLINE POS provides multiple methods for sending receipts, including email, SMS, and WhatsApp. Additionally, you have the flexibility to generate and send a receipt either during checkout or after order completion.
Sending Receipts on the Checkout Completion Page
After completing a transaction in your POS system, you will enter the checkout completion page. On this page, you can choose from three channels through which to send the receipt.
- Email: To send a receipt to a customer via email, click Email, fill in the recipient’s email address, and click Send in the upper right corner.
- SMS receipt: To send a receipt to a customer via SMS, enter the recipient’s mobile phone number, and click Confirm to send in the upper right corner.
- WhatsApp: To send a receipt to a customer via WhatsApp, enter the recipient’s mobile phone number, and click Confirm to send in the upper right corner.

Sending Receipts on the Order Details Page
If you haven’t sent the receipt immediately after the transaction or if the customer has additional sending requirements, you can also send receipts afterward by following the steps below:
- Go to the Order section in the left navigation bar.
- Search for and select the order for which you want to send the receipt.
- Click on Receipt and choose the channel through which you want to send the receipt.
Then, refer to the selected channels and follow the same steps used for Sending Receipts on the Checkout Completion Page to send the receipt.
Pre-print Receipt
If a customer wants to reserve a product before arriving at the store, you can use the Pre-print Receipt feature. This allows the cashier to create an order and pre-print the receipt in advance, ensuring the product is reserved and prepared for packaging. When the customer arrives, they can simply complete the payment and pick up their purchase, which helps avoid inventory shortages and improves store efficiency.
For orders that are Preparing to ship and Partially paid/Unpaid, you can access the Pre-print Receipt feature from the order details page. The receipt will follow the standard shopping receipt template and display "PRE-PRINT" at the bottom.
