Crafting Product Descriptions with the AI Generator

SHOPLINE's AI-powered description generator helps you create high-quality product descriptions with a single click. Save time and write compelling product copy that resonates with your brand and customers, ultimately increasing conversions and revenue.

This guide covers how to use the AI description generator and its usage limits.

 

 

Using AI to Generate Product Descriptions

This feature can be used when creating or editing descriptions for products or gift card products. Follow these steps:

  1. On the Description section of the product details page, click the Magic icon at the left corner of the text box.

  2. Enter precise keywords and descriptions to guide the AI. The more specific your guidance, the better the results.

  3. Choose a tone (e.g., professional, persuasive) from the dropdown selector. Six options are available:

    • Professional: Strictly stating facts, minimizing descriptive expressions.
    • Helpful: Using customer-oriented adjectives.
    • Persuasive: Employing motivational adjectives.
    • Bold: Using encouraging adjectives.
    • Funny: Using light-hearted, quirky, or slang expressions.
    • Delicate: Using a style characteristic of the light luxury category.
  1. Click the arrow icon to generate content for the product.

  2. If you're not satisfied with the content, click Rewrite for a different version. Once you're happy, click Enter to populate the text box.

    Note: Rate the generated content by clicking Helpful or Unhelpful below the text generation box to help optimize future results.


  3. To edit existing descriptions, highlight the text and click the Magic icon again for AI-powered suggestions. If you like the suggestion, simply click Enter to replace the old text with the AI-generated version.

Usage Limitations and Regional Restrictions

Free Trial vs. Paid Plans

  • Free Trial: Merchants on a free plan can generate descriptions up to 50 times per 30 days, with a maximum of 50 times per day.

  • Paid Plans: Merchants on a paid plan can generate descriptions up to 500 times per 30 days, with a maximum of 50 times per day.

Once you reach your limit, the AI copywriting feature will become unavailable. To increase your limit, contact SHOPLINE customer service.

Regional Restriction

This feature is currently unavailable in the European Union, including 28 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, and Estonia.
