Email Sending Scenarios of the Local Delivery Module
This article will introduce the triggering process of SHOPLINE’s local delivery emails.
Email Template Settings
We have set up the email template, but you can still modify the template to suit your needs.
To set a template, follow the steps below:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, click Settings > Notifications > Customer email notification.
- Find Local delivery, click Out for delivery, Local Delivery Delivered, or Missed delivery.
- Modify the template and click Update.
Out for Delivery Emails
If local delivery applies to an order, you can manually send an Out for delivery email when delivery is initiated to inform customers about the upcoming delivery. This email is sent when order delivery is started or ready to be delivered, which contains the details of the products to be delivered.
Here is how to trigger an Out for delivery email:
- Click Orders from your SHOPLINE admin panel, and click Marked as out for delivery on the order details page.
- Check the Send a notification to the customer option, and then click Marked as out for delivery. The system will automatically send an email to customers, and the status will change to Shipped.
Local Delivery Delivered Emails
If a local delivery order has been delivered to a customer, you can manually send a Local Delivery Delivered email to inform them about the delivery after confirming the products have been delivered to the destination.
Here is how to trigger a Local Delivery Delivered email:
- Click Orders from your SHOPLINE admin panel to enter order details, and click Marked as delivered.
- A pop-up window will appear. Check Send email notification to customers and click Confirm.
Missed Delivery Emails
If a local delivery order that has been shipped fails to reach the customer, you can manually send a Missed delivery email to inform them about the unsuccessful delivery.
Here is how to trigger a Missed delivery email:
- Click Orders from your SHOPLINE admin panel to enter order details, and click Missed Delivery below the three-dot icon.
- A pop-up window will appear. Check Send email notifications at the same time and click Confirm.
