In order to better help merchants expand their offline business, Shopline has integrated with the well-known Australian payment service provider Tyro to launch offline payment methods, which can support buyers to pay with mainstream Australian payment methods such as credit cards, debit cards, Afterpay, Zip, and Alipay. Supported card brands are Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, Unionpay, EftPos, Diners. This article will introduce how to enable a Tyro account on your Shopline POS and receive payments.

1. Tyro Pos payment settings
In order to use the Tyro Pos channel to receive payments, you need:
- Open a Tyro-related account and contact Tyro to purchase and obtain a Tyro terminal

Enable steps:
- Please select [POS] > [Settings] > [Collections] in the background of SHOPLINE to enter the POS payment method management page
- Click [Add a third-party provider], directly select Tyro, and you can directly enable it
- Successful activation of the [Third-party provider] module will display your enabled payment channel Tyro, click Deactive to close this channel.
- In addition, you can also click [Select payment service provider] to find Tyro in the third-party payment channel list.
- Select Tyro in the payment service provider list and click Confirm to enter the Tyro editing page.
- By default, all the card brands supported by Tyro are checked. You can also select the card brands or payment methods supported by your Tyro account according to your needs. After clicking Update, it will be enabled successfully.
2. Pair SHOPLINE POS with Tyro terminal
After enabling Tyro as a payment channel in the background of the Shopline store, you need to pair the Shopline POS of your store with the Tyro terminal before you can enter the payment collection process on the Shopline POS. For details, refer to the following steps:
1. The pairing process needs to put your Shopline Pos and Tyro terminal under the same Wifi, and the two need to be used together;
2. Turn on the Tyro terminal, enter the pairing mode, and obtain the MID and TID of your Tyro device;
- Open the "Menu" of the Tyro terminal device
- Select "Configuration"
- Select "Integrate EFTPOS"
- Select "Pair with POS"
- At this point, your MID and TID will be displayed on the Tyro terminal
3. Open Shopline POS, enter the obtained MID and TID into the Shopline POS pairing page to complete the pairing.
- Enter the Shopline POS settings page, select Payment management, you can enter the list of payment methods supported by your account
- Select Tyro to enter the Tyro terminal configuration page
- Click [Add a device] to enter the Tyro pairing page, and enter your MID and TID according to the page instructions to complete the pairing.
- Select your terminal device type, if you are not sure which terminal to choose, you can find your terminal model name on the base of the Tyro terminal.
- The page will also prompt the operation steps, and perform the pairing operation accordingly.
- Fill in the MID and TID displayed on the Tyro terminal screen and click "Authorize".
- Confirm on your Tyro terminal according to the page prompts.
- If the device pairing is successful, the message "Pairing successful" will be displayed, click OK to close the pop-up window; in addition, you also need to select "Finish" on the Tyro terminal to end the pairing process.
- If your Tyro terminal does not respond to the request initiated by Shopline POS or prompts that the pairing has failed, if you initiate payment directly at the POS at this time, you will be prompted to pair the device and the transaction cannot be completed

3. How to use Tyro to receive money
After successful pairing, you can use Tyro to receive money.
- Select the product, click "Buy", enter the checkout page, and select Tyro Payment
- You can see the Tyro transaction processing page, perform relevant operations according to the prompts on the page, and guide the buyer to swipe the card at the Tyro terminal, etc.
- After completion, Tyro will return the processing result, and only Approved is the result of successful payment
- At this point, click Completed to enter the specific result page to view the order result, and choose to print the receipt
- Click Complete to return to the POS home page and end the transaction process
4. Refund or cancel transaction with Tyro
Refund:

Shopline POS supports you to process refunds for buyers offline, and can refund partly or in full. The refund amount will be returned to the buyer's payment account in the original way. The processing time depends on Tyro and the bank. For details, please refer to the following steps:
- Open the Shopline POS - Store Order Management page and find the order you need to refund
- Click Returns to enter the refund details page. The default refund amount is the full payment of the order. You can also enter the refund amount you want, but it can only be less than or equal to the total order amount; after confirming the refund amount, click Refund
- You can see the Tyro refund processing page, and perform relevant operations according to the page prompts
- After completion, Tyro will return the processing result, and only Approved is the result of successful refund
- At this point, click Completed to enter the specific result page to view the refund result, and choose to print the receipt
- Click Complete to return to the POS home page and end the refund process

Cancel:
- When you initiate a transaction or refund on the POS, but you have not received the payment result from Tryo due to reasons such as the buyer’s abandonment of payment, you can click the Cancel Transaction button on the Tyro payment or refund page to cancel the transaction; if the cancellation is successful , you will see a display of transaction results with status Canceled.

5. Tyro FAQ
Question 1: The store has enabled Tyro, why can't the merchant see the Tyro payment channel on the Shopline POS Payment management page?
Answer:

SHOPLINE will judge the availability of the payment method according to the store settings and transaction information, and hide it when the payment method is not supported;
- Tyro currently only supports Australian merchants, so only Australian merchants can find Tyro payment channels on POS after activation.
Question 2: How to change and unbind the Tyro terminal?
Answer:
Change binding: 1 Tyro terminal can only be paired with one Shopline POS at the same time:

If you need to change the paired Tyro terminal to other Shopline POS:
- On your Tyro terminal, click Menu-Configuration-Integrated EFTPOS-Clear pairing, and click OK; at this point, the Tyro terminal will be unbound from the original POS device;
- You need to refer to the pairing process on the new Shopline POS, enter the MID and TID of the Tyro terminal, and the Tyro terminal will be paired to the new Shopline POS.

If you want to bind the new Tyro terminal to the Shopline POS that has been paired with other Tyro terminals:
- You only need to refer to the pairing process again on the Shopline POS, input the MID and TID of the new Tyro terminal, and the Shopline POS will be successfully paired with the new Tyro terminal.
Unbinding: If you no longer need to use the Tyro channel , you can directly close the Tyro channel in the Shopline store management background.
Question 3: What are the countries/regions and payment currencies and limits that Tyro supports?
Answer:
- Country/Region: Only Australia is supported;

Local transaction currency : AUD, retaining two digits of precision; in addition, Tyro has the DCC dynamic currency conversion function, international cardholders of Mastercard and Visa can complete the payment in their foreign card currency at the transparent exchange rate specified at the time of transaction;

Question 5: Why is your Tyro transaction rejected or abnormal?

If your transaction prompt fails and other abnormal results, it means that Tyro tried to execute the EFTPOS transaction, but the transaction failed due to the network or the card issuer rejecting the transaction.
