How to Connect Your PayPal Account to Affiliate Marketing
Before you can use PayPal to pay affiliates, you need to connect your PayPal account to Affiliate Marketing.
Requirements
To ensure that your connected PayPal account can be used as intended, your account must meet the following conditions:
- The account is a verified PayPal business account.
- Make sure the Payouts feature is enabled on your PayPal Business account. Learn how to enable Payouts.
Note: Enabling the Payouts feature requires an application to PayPal and submission of relevant review materials. SHOPLINE does not have control over the review outcomes. |
How to Connect
Once you confirm that your account meets the above requirements, you can start connecting your PayPal account within Affiliate Marketing. Follow the steps below:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, open Affiliate Marketing in the Apps section. Install it if you haven’t.

In Affiliate Marketing, go to Settings > Billing and payment methods.

In the Payment method section, find the Paid by PayPal block and click Link authorization.

Confirm the authorization statement in the pop-up window and click Authorize now. You will be redirected to the PayPal’s configuration page. Enter your PayPal business account credentials, review the authorization information, and then confirm the connection.

Return to Affiliate Marketing and set up your PayPal payment password. To ensure payment security, the password is required to enter every time you use PayPal to make payments in the Affiliate marketing. Click Set payment password.

In the pop-up window, set up and confirm your password, and click Next.

An email with verification code will be sent to your store’s contact email address. Enter the verification code to complete the password setup, and click Complete setting. Your PayPal account is now successfully connected.
Changing Your Payment Password
You can modify your payment password at any time. Follow the steps below:

In the Payment method section, find the Paid by PayPal block and click Modify payment password.
- In the pop-up window, enter and confirm your new password, and then click Next.
- An email with verification code will be sent to your store’s contact email address. Enter the verification code to complete the password modification, and click Complete setting.
Disconnecting Your PayPal Account
If you no longer want to pay commissions to your affiliates through PayPal in the future, you can disconnect it at any time within Affiliate Marketing. Follow the steps below:

In the Payment method section, find the Paid by PayPal block and click Remove link.
- In the pop-up window, confirm your action and click Remove link to disconnect your PayPal account.
How to Pay Commissions with PayPal
Once your PayPal account has been successfully connected, the Pay with PayPal option will be available in the corresponding payment interface of Affiliate Marketing. You only need to enter your payment password to complete the commission payment.
To make payments with PayPal within Affiliate Marketing, follow the steps below:

In Affiliate Marketing, go to Management > Affiliate management, or go to Bills > the details page of the unpaid bill.
- Find the affiliate you need to pay, and click Mark as paid in the Action column.

If the affiliate has provided PayPal account information for receiving payments, you can use your connected PayPal account to settle one or more commission bills for that affiliate. In the pop-up window, click Pay with PayPal.

Enter your commission payment password, click Confirm payment to complete the payment within Affiliate Marketing.
- After making a payment, you can view the payment status of the corresponding bill on the bill details page or on the affiliate’s details page.
