Bulk Product/ Customer Operation Through Flows on the Flow Automation App

On the Flow Automation app, you can customize one or more flows for automatic batch operation of the data in the product or customer list.

Use Scenarios

• Products can be marked with tags and classified into different categories according to their specific information.
  • Classify products into the "Top" category when their names contain the word "T-shirt".
  • Add a "Sample" tag to the products whose information contains the word "sample".
  • Classify products into the "New" category when they have the "New" tag.

• Customers can be marked with tags according to their information.
  • Add a "High Value" tag to the customers whose accumulated consumption amount exceeds USD 1,000.
  • Add an "American" tag to the customers whose addresses are in the United States.

Operation

On the Flow Automation app, a batch operation involves two steps: 1) create a flow for batch operation and then add multiple products or customers to the corresponding list at the admin panel, and 2) create another flow and perform the same operation.

Creating a Flow

For how to create a custom flow, refer to the following steps:

1. Click Create customize flow.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the Bulk operate products, Bulk operate orders, or Bulk operate customers trigger. Only these two triggers can operate the subsequent batch operations.
   
   
   
   
3. Set the flow according to your actual needs. For example, add a tag to customers who meet the corresponding condition, or classify products that meet certain conditions into the corresponding category. After setting the parameters, click Start Workflow. You can refer to the template list which contains some batch operation templates.
   
   
     

Using a Flow

For how to use a created flow, refer to the following steps:

1. On the Template list page, click Product, Customer, or Order. Enable the multiple option capability, and select those to be operated in batches.
2. After selecting multiple items, click Bulk edit, and find the products to be operated in batches from the bottom flow.
   
   
   
   
3. From the batch operation flows that have been configured on the Flow Automation app, select one or more flows. Operations configured in the flows will run automatically for the products selected in the previous step.
   
   
   
   
4. View the batch operation results.
