Setting up Other Payment Methods
You can set up one or more other payment methods, allowing your customers to pay for online orders using payment methods other than credit cards.
Other payment methods are primarily used for local payments and bank transfers. These methods have strong regional characteristics and allow you to simultaneously set up multiple local payment options for your store. On the other hand, payment service providers primarily handle credit card payment methods, and for each store, only one credit card channel service provider can be assigned at a time.
Access
From your SHOPLINE admin panel, click Settings > Payments > Other payment methods.
Adding Other Payment Methods
Note:
|
Other payment methods: Take Adyen Other payment settings as an example
Adding other payment methods can be done by following these steps:
- Click Add other payment methods in the Other payment methods section to enter the page for selecting payments to add.
- Search from the list or scroll up and down the page to select the provider Adyen Other for use.
Note: Configurable service providers are listed alphabetically, while non-configurable service providers are listed below in the same order. |
- Accurately fill in the Adyen Other information: merchantAccount, apiKey, clientKey, hmacKey, and check the supported payment types.
- Click Activate custom payment at the lower right.
Other payment method applications: Take Beyounger as an example.
Adding other payment method applications can be done by following the steps below:
Note: You can install an application from an external provider to enable payment collections. After installation, you need to configure and activate the application before using it. Each other payment method application has its own identity verification and configuration requirements and usually requires binding or creating an account with the payment service provider. Once the other payment method application is activated, this payment method will be visible at checkout. |
- On the page for selecting payments to add, click on Beyounger from the list to enter the add page.
- Click Install to install the application.
- Click Authorize and install to grant Beyounger pay data permissions for your store.
- Enter the account information and bind the account.
- Click Activate to complete the installation.
Editing Other Payment Methods
- To edit the added other payment methods, click Edit under Other payment methods, and you will enter the editing page to modify the relevant information and configurations.
- On the editing page, clicking Deactivate will deactivate the added other payment methods.
Note: If you no longer need an application for other payment methods, you can deactivate it. When an application is deactivated, it will be removed from the list of available payment methods to add. However, if you still need to use the application (e.g., for processing order returns), you can continue using it but do not uninstall it. If uninstalled, you will not be able to process any incomplete order returns. |
