You can use the retail sales report to view information about your customers’ POS orders based on criteria such as products, variants, or staff.
There is a 1-hour delay with some of the data in the reports. Report data will be updated when you reopen or refresh the report.

Sales and Retail Sales
In SHOPLINE’s Reports section, sales amounts of orders from the POS sales channel are defined as retail sales.
Each sub-report of retail sales displays orders made through the POS channel by default. You can also remove the default filter “Sales channel is POS” in Manage filters to view product data from all sales channels.
The report consists of several sub-reports. Please refer to the "Sales Report" article for the definition of each sub-report’s metrics, and check the report introduction below for an explanation of each sub-report’s dimensions.
Viewing Retail Sales Reports
From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Analytics > Reports, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and access the retail sales subreport you need.
Retail sales by products
The report presents a detailed overview of the sales generated from the products you have sold. The report contains the following fields:
Dimension | Description |
Custom product type | Custom product type you entered for the product. If the custom product type is changed after customers place orders, the new custom product type will be displayed in this report. If you haven’t set the Custom product type parameter for the product, N/A is displayed. |
Product Name | Title of the product. If the product name is changed after customers place orders, the new product name will be displayed in the report. If you have not inserted any picture for the product, the image in this field is null. |
Sales quantity | It refers to the number of units sold for a product. When you edit an order and remove products, the sales quantity will be deducted accordingly. |
Display retail sales by variants
The report presents a detailed overview of the sales by variants. The report contains the following fields:
Dimension | Description |
Multivariant specification | The different variants of the product, such as red * L. If a product does not have multi-variant specification, it will be shown as N/A. |
SKU | The identification code of the product’s variants. If the SKU is changed after a customer places an order, the report will display the updated SKU. If no SKU is entered for the variants, it will be shown as N/A. |
Sales quantity | It refers to the number of units sold for a product. When you edit an order and remove products, the sales quantity will be deducted accordingly. |
Display retail sales by POS location
The report shows the total sales for each POS location. The report contains the following fields:
Dimension | Description |
POS store location | The POS store location where the products were sold offline. Only orders made through the POS sales channel have a value for this field. |
Display retail sales by cashier
The report displays the sales for each cashier at every POS location. The report contains the following fields:
Dimension | Description |
Cashier name | The name of the cashier who sold products. Only orders made through the POS sales channel have a value for this field. |
Percentage of sales achieved by salesperson | The percentage of sales attributed to orders with at least one assigned staff. |
Display retail sales by salesperson
The report displays the sales for each salesperson at every POS location. The report contains the following fields:
Dimension | Description |
Salesperson name | The name of a salesperson who sold products. Only orders made through the POS sales channel have a value for this field. |
Display retail sales based on product collection
The report shows the sales for each product collection at every POS location. In cases where a product can belong to multiple collections, the report will display multiple rows and record the sales for each order under the respective collections. Please note that there is a 24-hour delay with the latest data. The report contains the following fields:

Collection |
It refers to the collection assigned to a product when an order is placed or edited. The collections include both manually assigned collections and smart collections. For example, on August 1, when Product A was ordered, it was classified as Collection 1. On August 2, the smart categorization system reclassified Product A as Collection 2. When the customer purchases Product A again on August 2, it will be recognized as Collection 2. (However, when querying the product collection for August 1, it will still display as Collection 1.) |
