Utilize the postal code groups to customize and set up shipping plans for delivery addresses, allowing you to manage shipping rates for sales regions more precisely. For example, you can customize delivery areas based on postal code groups for logistics remote regions, such as high mountain areas and deserts, and set higher shipping rates.

Postal code-based delivery addresses are applicable for whitelist merchants. If you need to activate the whitelist, please contact your Merchant Manager.

Add Custom Shipping Plans According to Zip Code

By selecting a country and specifying postal code groups, you can independently configure shipping rates for the delivery addresses within the defined postal code range. When the country and postal code of the delivery address match the specified rules, the configured shipping rate will be applied to the shipping calculation.

Please follow the steps below to add custom shipping plans: 

1. Go to SHOPLINE Admin and click on Settings > Shipping and Delivery.
2. Click on Shipping rate setting in the Shipping fees section to select the type of shipping. 
3. Find Shipping address (according to zip code) and click on Add a shipping zone, to add a new shipping criteria.
4. Hit Create and you will be directed back to the rates setting page. Click on Add a shipping rate to add rates to the zip code group you just created.
5. Complete the settings and click Done to save it.

Edit Custom Shipping Zone

To edit the settings of the zones you created, please follow the guidelines below:

1. Go to SHOPLINE Admin and click on Settings > Shipping and Delivery.
2. Choose the type of shipping fee in the Shipping fees section.
3. Go to the Shipping address (according to zip code) section and click on the three-dot icon [...] > Edit zone to proceed.
4. Click Save to update the settings.

Delete Custom Shipping Zone

To delete the settings of the zones you created, please follow these steps:

1. Go to SHOPLINE Admin, and click on Settings > Shipping and Delivery.
2. Choose the type of shipping fee in the Shipping fees section.
3. Go to Shipping address (according to zip code) section and click on the three-dot icon [...] > Delete to proceed.
4. Click Save to update the settings.

Shipping Rate of Delivery Address

The selected country will be excluded from the non-deliverable regions set in the SHOPLINE Admin, and the available options will be displayed on the checkout page. The countries/regions configured for Shipping address (according to zip code) do not affect other settings in the admin.

Postal Code Matching Rules:

1. Prefix matching for strings: For example, the format 'BS20*' can match any postal code with the prefix 'BS20' (case-sensitive) when configured at the country level.
2. Numeric range matching: For example, the format '1001-1099*' can match a set of numbers within this range.
3. Exact string matching: Any format other than the above two is considered as exact string matching. It will only match when the input is 100% identical (case-sensitive) to the rule.

For instance, if the United States is in the shipping zone of the original setting and the United Kingdom is added to the custom setting, both countries are deliverable.  

When the country and postal code in the delivery address match the configured rules for Shipping address (according to zip code), the respective shipping rates participate in the shipping calculation along with the rates from the standard delivery addresses.

For example, if you set a fixed rate of $10 for delivery to the United States in the standard delivery addresses, a fixed rate of £20 for delivery to the United Kingdom, a fixed rate of £30 for the specified postal codes 'SW4*, SW9*, SW2*' in the Shipping address (according to zip code), and a fixed rate of €40 for the specified postal codes '10115-14199,20095-21149,80331-81929' in Germany in Shipping address (according to zip code), these rates will collectively contribute to the shipping calculation.
