SHOPLINE Payments for the United States
SHOPLINE Payments allows you to accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and more. It also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay, enabling customers to check out securely with a single tap.
When you capture a payment for an order, a SHOPLINE payment processing fee applies. The fee rate varies based on your subscription plan and the selected payment method.

KYC Requirements for SHOPLINE Payments
To apply for SHOPLINE Payments for your business based in the United States, you must comply with the following requirements and submit the requested information and documents.
Store Requirements

Legal pages:
- Privacy Policy: Clearly state the purpose of information collection, how information is stored, and non-disclosure practices.
- Terms and Conditions: Include your legal entity name and applicable U.S. laws.

Shipping, Return, and Exchange Policy: Must cover all of the following items:
- Delivery options and logistics providers.
- Shipping days (number of days from order placement to shipment).
- Delivery days (number of days from shipment to order receipt).
- Shipping and delivery days for pre-orders (if pre-orders are offered).
- Refund Policy: Clearly state whether refunds are provided. At a minimum, include refund conditions, refund methods, and the refund process.
- Additional requirements:
- Display a store logo.
- Include a contact information page.
- Have at least 7 to 10 products listed with prices displayed.
- All products must include images, prices, and descriptions.
- Each product must have at least 1 item in stock.
- The shopping cart function must be enabled.
- The store must not be password-protected.
Bank Account Requirements
- The bank account owner's name must match the applicant's name.
- Applicants must provide a copy of a bank statement issued by the payout bank, dated within the last 6 months.

Personal Information Requirements
For verification purposes, submitted personal documents must meet the following criteria:
- For SSN: The number must be valid. If SHOPLINE is unable to verify the SSN, we may request an SSN document (such as a tax return form).
- For ID copies:
- The document must contain a full name, date of birth, and personal photo.
- The document must be valid and unexpired.
- Documentation must be legible; text and photographs must be clear.
- Photocopies will not be accepted.
- Complete documents must be uploaded, including the front and back of the ID card and the full personal information page of the passport.
Company Information Requirements
For verification purposes, submitted company documents must meet the following criteria:
- Must contain the company name, business address, and company registration number.
- If Articles of Incorporation are provided, they must be an official document issued by a government department.
- A Certificate of Incumbency may be requested if applicable.
- The document must be valid and show up-to-date registration information.
Note: If SHOPLINE is unable to verify the identity of the individual who ultimately owns or controls the company, you may be required to provide additional company registration documents, which may include parent company information. |
SHOPLINE Payments POS Requirements
If your entity is non-individual and you require in-store POS (Point of Sale) payment methods, you can apply for POS. The following requirements are mandatory:
- Your Advanced Know Your Customer (KYC) verification must be completed.
- A photo of your storefront, including the unit number.
- Photos of your store's interior, clearly showing products.
- If you are going to use POS only without an online store, upload the product and price list in additional documents.
- If the store is still under renovation, provide a rental/lease agreement for proof of conducting business at the location.
- The lease agreement must show that the onboarded entity is the one leasing the location.
- It should clearly indicate the leased location and the lease's time span.
- You will need to provide proper storefront and interior photos within 1 month of your application.

Prohibited Businesses
Some types of businesses and services are not eligible to use SHOPLINE Payments. To determine your eligibility, please review the list of prohibited business types for the United States.

Your transaction fee is based on your store's SHOPLINE subscription plan, and you can change plans at any time. SHOPLINE Payments allows United States businesses to accept payments from:

Getting Paid
SHOPLINE Payments offers the simplest way to accept payments online. It eliminates the hassle of setting up a merchant account with a third-party payment provider and then entering your account credentials in SHOPLINE. Because SHOPLINE Payments is natively integrated with your store, you can view your payouts directly in the SHOPLINE admin.
In the United States, the payout details are as follows:
- Payout Speed: T+4 working days (e.g., if T-day is January 6, 2025, funds will be processed by January 10, 2025).
- Minimum Payout Amount: USD 10.00 (Payout fee: USD 0.50).
Please note that it may typically take an additional 1-3 working days for the funds to be deposited into your bank account, depending on bank processing speed.
