Configuring Effective Sellable Inventory Plans
The Advanced Inventory Management app empowers you to take control of your inventory and provide a seamless shopping experience for your customers. By customizing sales limits and implementing proactive stock management plans, you can prevent stockouts, enhance customer satisfaction, and streamline your operations.
Creating a Sales Inventory Plan
To create a sales inventory plan for managing the sellable inventory levels of your products, follow these steps:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Advanced Inventory Management. Install the app if you haven't already.
- Go to the Sales inventory plan tab and click Create sales inventory plan.
- In the upper section, configure the settings for the inventory plan:

- Method name: Enter a descriptive name for convenient management.

Calculation method: Choose between Percentage or Fixed quantity.
- Percentage: Set a desired percentage and a custom value to add or subtract. The sellable inventory is calculated as the sum of sellable stock at online store locations, multiplied by the percentage, and adjusted by the custom value.
- Fixed quantity: Set a fixed value for the available inventory total.

- Other rules: For a percentage-based plan, you can enable this option to automatically reduce the sellable inventory to zero when product stock falls below your specified quantity.
- In the lower section, select the Applicable products:

- All items: Applies the plan to all products.
- Selected items: Click Choose items to select up to 2,000 products.
- Toggle the Turned on switch in the upper right corner, then click Add to save your settings.
Note: A product can only be assigned to one plan at a time. If you add a product that is already assigned to a plan to a new one, it will be removed from its previous plan. |
Managing Your Sales Inventory Plans
You can view and manage your created sales inventory plans on the plan list:
- Go to the Sales inventory plan tab of the app.
- All created plans will be displayed in the list. For each plan, you can:

- View: Check the method name and applicable product quantity.
- Enable/Disable: Toggle the status of a plan.
- Edit: Click the pencil icon to modify plan settings.
- Delete: Click the trash bin icon to remove a plan.
Note: The sales inventory plans only apply to the online sales channel and do not impact the inventory of offline retail channels like POS. |
Managing Inventory Plans at the Product Level
In addition to managing inventory plans at the plan level, you can also view and manage sellable inventory and plan settings directly at the product level:
- Go to the Product list tab of the app.
- On the product list, you can:

View Product Information: Access details for each product, including the product name, image, SKU code, and attributes. Use the filters to search for a specific product as needed.

Check Inventory Status: Review the current inventory plan, available inventory, and actual inventory for each product. If you need to rearrange the product display order, click Sort in the upper right corner.

Modify Sales Inventory Plan: To adjust the sales inventory plan for a specific product, click the pencil icon in the Options column to access its settings page.

Review Activity Log: Monitor the activity log and updates of the plans by clicking the User log button.

Export Product List: Export the product list for further analysis, reporting, or data preservation.

View Product Information: Access details for each product, including the product name, image, SKU code, and attributes. Use the filters to search for a specific product as needed.
