Reporting Offline Data to Facebook
SHOPLINE can report your offline data from sources like your POS order data to Meta. If you have advertising needs for offline businesses, you can make use of offline data to measure the actual performance of advertising through Meta, such as storefront shopping, call-in order reservations, etc.
About Offline Data Reporting
Offline data helps you understand how effective your ads are at driving offline events, so you can use this information to optimize your ads.
Using offline data reporting helps you:
- Track offline events to see how many of them are driven by advertising.
- Measure the return on offline ad expenditure.
- Cover customers offline and deliver relevant ads to them based on their offline behaviors. You can also create lookalike audiences to target ads delivered through Meta technology to users with similar characteristics to your offline customers.
Before running a campaign, you must create an offline event set or dataset in the Meta Events Manager and associate it with your ad account, then go to SHOPLINE to complete asset authorization.
Creating A Dataset
- Go to Meta Events Manager.
- In the left sidebar, click Connect Data Sources.
- In the Connect a New Data Source pop-up window, select Offline and click Connect.
- Fill in the name and click Create. The dataset is successfully created.
Asset Authorization
To use this feature, you need to authorize the relevant assets to SHOPLINE first. Follow the steps below:
- Go to your SHOPLINE admin panel.
- From the left sidebar, click Channel and select Facebook.
- Click the Setup button in the Data tracking section.
- Click the Authorize button under the Offline data reporting section.
- Confirm your Facebook login account and click Continue as [your account].
- Read through the instructions regarding the association between your SHOPLINE online store and Facebook, and click Next.
- Select the assets to be connected and click Next.
- Authorize which actions SHOPLINE can perform, and click Next.
- You have completed the asset connection process. Click Return to SHOPLINE.
