Notifications
SHOPLINE POS offers a notification hub, Notice, on the home page, providing you a holistic view about tasks requiring your attention. Here, you receive important notifications related to your business and reminders to address something promptly. So that you don’t miss tasks like processing delivery orders, preparing for in-store pickups, or updating the system for new features.
Notification Types
The Notice hub aggregates three types of notifications: Fulfillment, Inventory, and System. Each type of notification displays the latest three unread notifications in the list, with the option to view all.
Fulfillment Notifications
The system pushes fulfillment reminders to Notice (the bell icon) > Fulfillment for new orders from your online and physical stores that require shipment or in-store pickup.
Tapping on a notification takes you to the order details page where you can view order details and take subsequent actions.
- Local pickup: Notifications for new in-store pickup orders. When they are assigned to this store, your Notice hub receives this reminder, prompting store staff to prepare for customer pickup.
- Pickup due reminder: Notifications for in-store pickup orders that have reached the pickup time specified at the time of order placement. The Notice hub receives this reminder, urging store staff to contact the customer for the pickup matter.
- Shipment reminder: Notifications for new orders that need shipping. When assigned to this store, the Notice hub receives this reminder, prompting store staff to prepare for shipment.
System Notifications
When there's a new version available for SHOPLINE POS, the system pushes a notification to Notice > System.
Tapping on the notification takes you to the About us section, where you can tap Version updates to upgrade the system version.
Inventory Notifications
If you have installed the Smart Inventory Management app from SHOPLINE App Store and use the Inventory alert and Inventory transfer features, the system will send Inventory alert message or Transfer message to Notice > Inventory tab when stock levels are low or negative or when an inventory transfer is created or updated, respectively.
-
Inventory Alert Message: If you have enabled inventory alerts for a product in Smart Inventory Management, you’ll receive the following two types of alerts.
- Low inventory alert: When the Alert status of the product at a location changes to Low inventory, the alert is sent to the location (store), at the frequency you specify in Smart Inventory Management > Settings > Stock alert notification.
- Negative inventory alert: When the available inventory for a product at a location is below 0, the alert is sent to the location (store) every Monday at 10:00 AM.
-
Transfer Message: When you create or receive an inventory transfer in Smart Inventory Management, you’ll receive the following two types of notifications.
- Pending notification: The system sends you a notification when you, the transfer-out location, receive a transfer-in request from another location and the request is in the Pending status. Clicking the notification will take you to the transfer details page, where you can quickly review and process the request.
- Processed result notification: The system sends you, the transfer-in location, a notification when the transfer-out location has processed your transfer-in request and decided to agree or reject your request. Clicking the notification will take you to the transfer details page, where you can quickly view the request.

Notification Settings
You can choose whether to turn on notification sounds and to receive reminders based on your store or device needs.
-
In your POS app, tap the hamburger icon in the upper left corner, and then tap Setting.
- Tap Message settings.
-
- Turning on the Sound on toggle produces an alert sound on the device when there's a new notification in the Notice hub.
-
Turning on the Fulfillment alerts or System alerts toggle displays the unread message count on the bell icon (Notice) on the front page when there's a new notification for that store. If turned off, the Notice hub only receives notifications without showing the unread count.
