Presenting Products in Livestream Studio

When hosting a livestream, you may have so many products in queue to showcase. To help you with better visibility of which product is currently onstage and smoother control of the program, SHOPLINE launches the “presenting” feature,  which pins the product you are presenting to the top of the studio’s central pane for easy viewing. The pinned content is displayed in your livestream studio and visible to you only. The audience won’t see any status or product card on their Facebook/Instagram screen.

 

 

Starting the Presentation

You can present one product at a time in the livestream studio when the livestream is Live. This feature is not available for livestreams with the Preparing or Ended status.

To start presenting a product, follow the steps below:

  1. In the livestream studio, start the livestream when you are ready.
  2. Find the product you are going to present and click the microphone icon.
  3. In the Start presenting this product pop-up window, click Confirm to start presenting it. You also have the option to check the box if you want to send the product recommendation to the livestream post as a comment.

  4. The product will be in the presenting status. The product information is duplicated and displayed in the Presenting section above the product list. The microphone icon turns blue.

Note: For products with multiple variants, all the variants are pinned.

 

 

Ending the Presentation

To end the Presenting status, you can do it in two ways:

  • When the livestream is live, either click the blue microphone icon of the product being presented or start presenting another product.

  • When you ends the livestream, remove the product being presented from the livestream, or even deactivate or delete it from the store, the system automatically terminates the presenting status.

Considerations

  • The Presenting status is not visible to customers. This is the technical limitation imposed by Facebook/Instagram.
  • During the livestream, only one product can be presented at a time.
  • The product information displayed in the Presenting section is consistent with that in the product list. Any updates to the information in either section will be synchronized to the other section.
