Logging In to Your SHOPLINE POS App
To begin using the SHOPLINE POS App, your first step is to log in to your user account. This guide will explain the two available methods: account login and PIN login.
Note: Only authorized staff members added to the POS system can access the app. Please refer to Adding Staff for more information. |
Account Login
When logging in for the first time or after completely logging out, you'll need to use your account credentials to log in to the SHOPLINE POS App. Follow these steps:
- Open the SHOPLINE POS App on the device where you installed it, enter your account credentials, and click Log in.
- Once logged in, the POS will display the stores authorized for this account. Click on the store you want to enter.
PIN Code Login
If you've been logged into the SHOPLINE POS App for an extended period without any activity, the system may automatically lock your screen for safety concerns. To regain access, you can use the PIN login. Follow these steps:

Open the SHOPLINE POS App and enter the employee PIN code you use for this store.
Note: You can find your employee PIN code through the SHOPLINE admin panel > POS > Staff > Edit icon of your account > POS PIN code module.
- Once logged in, you can start using the system.
Important: Entering an incorrect PIN code five times in a row will lock the PIN login for 30 seconds. During this lockout, you can click the Log out button to completely log out and then log back in using your email address and password. |
How to Set, View and Edit Staff PIN
Each time you add a POS staff account, a default PIN code will be generated to the newly created employee.
A. To add a POS staff account to SHOPLINE POS, please follow the steps:

From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to POS channel > Staff and tap on Add Staff.

Fill out the Staff member details section. Select the scope of the staff account usage and choose the staff account to which the account will be applied.
- Admin and POS permissions required: The staff account can log in to both the admin and POS app.
- Only POS permissions required: The staff account can only log in to the POS app.

Set POS access permissions. Select Stores access and POS role from the dropdown menus.

Set a POS PIN code as the key for the staff account to access the POS app.
- Customized PIN Code: Enter a custom 4-digit PIN code in the input box.

Generate Random PIN Code: Click Generate a random PIN code, and the system will randomly generate a 4-digit number as the PIN code.
- After filling in the information, click Save in the right corner to complete adding the staff.
B. To view and/or edit the PIN of an existing POS Staff

From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to POS channel > Staff and tap on the staff account that you would like to review.
- Under POS PIN Code, you can view and/or edit the staff’s PIN code.
Note: Each employee must have their own unique PIN code, which cannot be the same as that of any other staff member.
