How to Register for a Google Play Developer Account
There is a one-time registration fee of $25, and you need to have a Gmail account and set up two-step verification.

After completing these steps, you can follow the steps below to complete the registration.
- Navigate to https://play.google.com/console/signup and sign in with your Gmail account.
- Choose the organization type (A company or business) and click Get started to create an organization developer account.
- The next page informs you what you should prepare. Click Continue.
- Add your developer name and click Next.
- You need to link your account to payment information. If your Google account is not linked to any payment method, you need to select Create or select payment profile and enter the required details. If your Google account is already linked to an existing payment method, you will see available options in the popup window.
- The system will ask you to enter your DUNS code, which you can find using this DUNS lookup tool.
- Verify your DUNS details and click Next.
- Fill in the details of your organization.
- Enter your company's phone number and email address and verify them.
Note: Once your app is published, this information will be displayed in the Google Play Store listing. - Fill in the About you section, explaining why you are registering for a Google Play developer account.
- Complete the Apps section:
- List the number of apps you plan to create.
- Answer No for making money on Google Play, as we do not support paid apps.
- For App categories, select None of the above.
- Fill in your personal contact details.
- Finally, review and agree to the terms, then select Create account and pay.
Note: If Google Play cannot verify your ID with the initial enterprise information you provided, you will need to submit additional information to complete the verification process. After accessing the Google Play Console, you will see a banner with a link to the necessary steps to complete the verification. |
Invite Shopper App to Join Your Google Play Developer Account
After completing this process, you can invite Shopper App to join your account and fill out your account details in the SHOPLINE admin panel.
Invite Shopper App to join your account by following these steps:
- After creating the account, you can navigate to the Google Play Console and select Users and permissions on the left.
- Click Invite new user, enter "appstore.shopperapp@shopline.com" in the invitation field, and grant Administrator permission.
- Click Invite user to complete the invitation process.
Next, fill in the account information on the Shopper App account authorization page.
- Navigate to Shopper App > App Publish page, click Edit for Developer account authorization.
- Scroll down to the Google Play developer account authorization section and click Ready, fill out now.
- Enter the Google Play Developer Name and account ID in the input fields.
- If you already have an app published on Google Play and want to migrate it to Shopper App, check YES; if you have not yet published an app on Google Play, check NO.
- If you checked YES, fill out the following information:

- Google Play Application ID: Go to Google Play Console and you can find this information under the App title.
