Improving Search Experience with Smart Search Recommendation

The Shopper App supports integration with the Smart Search Recommendation application. The search and filtering capabilities you set up in Smart Search Recommendation will be applied to the app's search results page and collection page. Integrating Smart Search Recommendation can create a better search experience for customers, allowing them to find the products they need more quickly and accurately, thereby improving the app's conversion rate.

Connecting Shopper App with Smart Search Recommendation

Please first install the Smart Search Recommendation app in your SHOPLINE admin panel. Then open it and make the configurations based on your needs.

Configuring in Smart Search Recommendation

Shopper App supports Pre-search recommendations, Search range and Filter condition features of Smart Search Recommendation app. Please refer below setup steps to proceed or go to the "Smart Search Recommendation: Quick Start Guide" to learn more details.

Setting up Pre-search Recommendations

In the Smart Search Recommendation app, the Background terms, Search history, and Recommended terms/Product titles configured under Display settings > Pre-search recommendations are also displayed in the Shopper App search box and search panel.

Setting up Search Configurations

After completing the pre-search recommendation settings, go to the Search configurations tab in the Smart Search Recommendations app and configure the settings in the following sections.

• Search settings: In the Search settings section, click Settings, then select the options that best suit your needs.

  Note: Settings under Search and sort preferences are not yet reflected in the Shopper App.

• Product promotion: Go to Product promotion, add search terms for the products, and click Add to save your changes.
• Synonyms: Create a synonym group, enter the synonyms, then click Add.

• Keyword redirection: Go to Keyword redirection, click Add keyword, then enter the keyword and destination URL. Click Add to save the configuration. 

   

Setting up Filter Conditions

Go to the Filters tab in the Smart Search Recommendations app, then click Add filter condition in the upper-right corner. Select a filter and specify the display name shown to customers. You can drag and drop filter conditions to reorder them. Shopper App supports the filter theme style, custom style, default collapsed state, and display styles (Checkbox, Tag, and Swatch) configured in the app, ensuring they are displayed correctly on the storefront.
