Synchronizing Products to Snapchat's Feeds
In this guide, you will learn how to bulk upload product information to Snapchat's Product Catalogs, so you can showcase and promote your products in users' Snapchat Feeds.
Snapchat Product Catalog Overview
The Snapchat Product Catalog empowers ecommerce merchants to showcase and advertise their products directly on the Snapchat platform. It functions as a centralized data repository containing detailed product information and attributes.
By leveraging the Snapchat Product Catalog, you can effortlessly synchronize your product data with Snapchat. This ensures that relevant products are displayed to users browsing the platform. Additionally, you can create engaging product ads directly within Snapchat, featuring product images, titles, prices, and more. Users can click these ads to be seamlessly directed to your website for further exploration and purchase.
Creating and managing your product catalog involves formatting your product data according to Snapchat's specifications. SHOPLINE's product synchronization feature simplifies this process, facilitating the upload of your product information to the Snapchat platform. By defining product categories, attributes, and pricing details, you guarantee accurate product presentation during user browsing and search activities on Snapchat.
The Snapchat Product Catalog unlocks powerful marketing capabilities. You can effectively promote and showcase your products, attracting potential customers and driving sales conversions. Furthermore, Snapchat's robust data analytics tools provide valuable insights into customer product interests and behaviors. This empowers you to optimize your marketing strategies and enhance overall marketing effectiveness.
What is a Snapchat Feed?
A Snapchat product feed is a data file containing essential information about your products, such as names, descriptions, prices, and website URLs. This file must adhere to Snapchat's specific format and structure to ensure seamless integration.
By creating and submitting a product feed, you can effortlessly synchronize your product data with Snapchat. This allows your products to be displayed and promoted directly on the platform. Regularly updating your product feed guarantees that the information displayed on Snapchat remains current and accurate, reflecting the latest details on your online store or website.
Snapchat product feeds typically come in two formats: XML or CSV. You can choose the format that best suits your needs and is compatible with the Snapchat platform. Each feed file needs to include a set of mandatory fields, like product ID, title, description, price, and image URL. Additionally, you can include optional fields like brand and category to provide richer product information.
Utilizing a Snapchat product feed empowers you to effectively manage and promote your products. This increases their visibility on Snapchat, attracting a wider audience of potential buyers. Furthermore, Snapchat offers advertising management tools to analyze your ad performance and optimize your advertising strategy, ultimately enhancing your overall marketing effectiveness.

Product Sync Status Explanation
This table explains the different product statuses displayed in SHOPLINE's Snapchat Product Sync feature. The status is determined by aggregating the status of all SKUs within the corresponding product SPU. Here's a breakdown of the specific rules:
Sync Status | Explanation |
All SKUs have the same status | The overall status is displayed as the same status shared by all SKUs under the SPU. For example, if all SKUs (a, b, and c) under the SPU are in Synced status, then the overall status will be displayed as Synced. |
SKUs have different statuses, and there is at least one SKU in "Sync Failed" status | The overall status is displayed as Partial failure. For example, if SKU a is successful, SKU b fails, and SKU c is in progress, then the overall status will be displayed as Partial failure. |
SKUs have different statuses, and there is no SKU in "Sync Failed" status | The overall status is displayed as Processing. For example, if SKU a is successful, SKU b is in progress, and SKU c is awaiting processing, then the overall status will be displayed as Processing. |
