Understanding App Performance with App Analytics
App Analytics provides insights into key performance indicators related to the operation of your app, such as app installations, order amounts, number of sessions, session sources, conversion rates, and more. These metrics help you understand critical sales data, identify trends, compare results, and make strategic decisions for your app’s performance.
Viewing App Performance
From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Shopper App and switch to App Analytics page. Here, metrics are displayed in tiles. Your current time zone is displayed at the top of the page.
Choosing the Time Window
By default, data from the last 7 days are displayed on the page. To view data for different date ranges, click the Date selector and select the desired range. Three preset ranges are provided: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and Last 90 days. You can also specify any custom range by selecting dates on the calendar.
Comparing Data
To compare data with the same date range from the previous period or the previous year, click the Compared with selector and select the desired comparison period. By default, the comparison with the previous period is displayed. You can set any custom comparison period by selecting dates on the calendar.
Viewing Metric Definitions
Hover over the metric name to see its definition in the tooltip.
Understanding the Metrics
Metrics | Definitions |
App Installs | The number of times a user downloads and opens the app for the first time. |
App Order Amount |
The total amount of successful orders from the sales channel of Shopper App.

Sessions |
The total number of visits to the app. A session starts when a customer opens the app and ends when the app is closed or goes into the background for 30 minutes without any events triggered. |
New & Returning Sessions |

App Sessions by Source | The number of sessions by source.

App Sessions by Platform | The number of sessions by platform type (iOS or Android). |
App Orders | The number of successful orders where the sales channel is the Shopper App. |
Percentage of Total Orders | The proportion of orders placed through Shopper App compared to the total number of orders from all your sales channels. |
Percentage of Total Order Amount | The proportion of total sales generated through Shopper App compared to the overall sales of all your sales channels. |
AOV (Average Order Value) | App Order Amount / App Orders |
CVR (Conversion Rate) | App Orders / Sessions |
Value Per Session | App Order Amount / Sessions |
