Product Upsells & Bundles: Creating a Gift Box Activity

The Gift Box feature in the Product Upsells & Bundles app lets you offer customers a personalized shopping experience. By allowing them to choose various products, customers can create unique gift boxes tailored to their recipients. This feature enhances the shopping experience and boosts sales, especially during holidays and special occasions.

Subscribing to the Gift Box plan

To use the Gift Box feature, you need to subscribe to the 30-day plan. Follow these steps:

1. In your Product Upsells & Bundles app, go to the Gift Box tab and click Purchase a plan in the pop-up window.
   
2. On the Package purchase page, click Subscribe a plan in the Gift box section.
   
3. On the checkout page, verify your plan, select your preferred payment method, and click Pay now.
   

Steps to Create a Gift Box Activity

To offer customers a personalized gift box experience, follow these steps:

1. In the Gift Box tab, click Create. This will lead you to the settings page, where you'll find detailed step-by-step configuration guidance.
   
2. Basic Setup: Configure the basic information for the gift box.
   

• • Gift box name: Provide a descriptive name that will appear on the landing page.

  • Gift box discount: If applicable, enable the discount option and set a discount for the gift box.

  • Combine with other discounts: Enable this option to allow the gift box discount to stack with discount codes or automatic discounts from your main site. Please note that gift box discounts always take priority.

  • Gift box purchasing method: Choose whether to direct customers to the shopping cart or the checkout page after they review their gift box products. 

  • Display style: Select your preferred product image scale. Click Next to continue.

3. Gift Box: If you provide physical boxes to package customers' selected gifts, set up your gift boxes here.
   

• • Enable gift box selection step: Enable this step to allow customers to select their preferred gift box as packaging.
  • Page information (Optional): Provide a page title and description to introduce the box selection.
  • Gift box product: Click Select Product(s) to choose the available gift boxes.
  • Step name: Enter the name for this box selection step, as it will appear in the step bar. Click Next to continue.

4. Product Selection: Configure the products customers can choose for their gift boxes.
   

• • Page information (Optional): Provide a page title and description to introduce the available products.
  • Gift box product: Click Select product(s) to choose the products for customers to add to their gift boxes.
  • Step limits: Set a quantity or amount limit for the product selection, if desired. You can choose either a range or a specific value. If you select a specific value, the option to Automatically move to the next step when the conditions are met will appear. Enabling this allows auto-movement to the next step if the limit is reached. It’s also recommended to add this limit to your page description for clarity.
    
  • Step name: Enter the name for this product selection step, as it will appear in the step bar.
  • Add product selection page: To offer more product options, click this button to create additional product selection pages (up to 10) for other collections. Click Next to continue.
    

5. Gift Card Configuration: If you want to offer a gift card product, configure the following settings.
   

• • Enable gift card selection step: Enable this step to allow customers to add a gift card to their box.
  • Page information (Optional): Provide a page title and description to introduce the gift card selection.
  • Gift card products: Click Select product(s) to choose the gift card products.
  • Enable gift card message: Enable this option to let customers add a personalized message to the card.
  • Step name: Enter the name for this gift card selection step, as it will appear in the step bar. Click Next to continue.

6. Gift Box Review: Enable the review step so customers can verify their purchase.
   

• • Enable gift box view page: Enable this step to allow customers to review their gift box.
  • Page information (Optional): Provide a page title and description with instructions for customers.
  • Step name: Enter the name for this review step, as it will appear in the step bar.

7. Ensure the gift box is enabled, then click Create. 

After completing the configuration, you can:

• Copy the link to share directly with customers or on social media.
• Add the landing page to your website's navigation menu for direct promotion.

Managing Your Gift Boxes

The Gift box tab also serves as your central hub for managing all your created gift boxes. Follow these steps:

1. In the app, go to the Gift Box tab to review all the gift box activities you have created. 
2. Use the following features to easily manage your gift box activities:
   

• • Switch between the All, Enabled, and Disabled tabs to view the status of each activity.
  • Use the search bar to quickly find a specific gift box activity.
  • Review key details at a glance, including Activity title, Discount type, Total sales, and Status.
  • In the Action column, click the eye icon to preview the landing page or the paper clip icon to copy the page link.
  • Select one or multiple activities to Enable, Disable, or Delete them.
    

3. To update the settings of a specific activity, simply click on the activity to access its settings page.

Viewing Sales Data

At the top of the Gift Box tab, you can quickly access key sales data for your gift box activities, including Sales, Orders, Discount amounts, and ROI. This data is updated hourly.

Click on any of these metrics to open the data overview dashboard for more detailed insights.

• In addition to the four primary metrics on the homepage, you can also view Average transaction value and Unit per transaction on this page.
  
• Use the date range filter to analyze sales data over a specific period.
  
• The line chart provides a visual overview of sales trends for Sales and Orders.
  
• Under Activity Data, you can find detailed sales results for each individual activity. Click on a specific activity to access more information.
