Changing Locations and Suspending Shipments for Unshipped Orders
Before shipping products to fulfill customer orders, you may need to change the shipping location or temporarily pause shipments due to inventory shortages or other reasons. SHOPLINE offers convenient features that allow you to directly edit orders to quickly update the shipping location or shipment status.
Changing Shipping Locations
To change the shipping location for an unshipped order, follow these steps:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Orders and click on the order that you want to update.
- In the Not shipped section, click the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner and select Change location.
- In the pop-up window, choose the desired location for fulfilling the order and optionally add a note. Click Change location to confirm.
The shipping location will be updated immediately.
Suspending Order Shipments
If you need to temporarily suspend the shipment for any reason, follow these steps to configure and update the order status:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Orders and click the order you want to update.
- In the Not shipped section, click the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner and select Suspension of shipments.
- In the pop-up window, select a reason for the shipment suspension. If you choose Other as the reason, you can optionally add a note. Then, click Suspension of shipments to confirm.
Resuming Order Shipment
Once a temporarily suspended order is ready for shipment, follow these steps to process it:
- In the Orders section of your admin panel, select the suspended order that you want to update.
- In the Pending section, click Ready for shipping.
- The order will return to the Not shipped status, allowing you to fulfill it as needed.
