Inventory Transfer Using the SHOPLINE POS App
To streamline your store's stock transfer process, we've integrated the Inventory Transfer feature from the Smart Inventory Management app into the SHOPLINE POS system. This enables you to seamlessly initiate and manage transfer-in and transfer-out orders directly from your POS devices, enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring prompt product fulfillment across locations.

Creating a Transfer Order
To create a transfer order using your SHOPLINE POS system, follow these steps:
- On your POS app's homepage, tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner.
- Go to Apps and tap Inventory transfer.
- Tap Create a transfer form in the top-right corner and choose whether to create a transfer-in or transfer-out order.
- Fill in the required details, including the order name, transfer locations, estimated delivery time, and contact email. Note that you can only transfer out products or receive products for your current location.
- Tap Add products to select items for transfer. You can only select products that are available for sale at both the transfer-in and transfer-out locations.
Note: The app version of the Inventory transfer feature doesn't support bulk product imports or adding products via recommendations. For these methods, use the Smart Inventory Management app. - After adding the necessary products, enter the cost and quantity for each product.
- To remove any products, tap Edit and delete unwanted items.
- Add any necessary notes and tap Send to finalize the transfer order. If you have provided contact information, an email will be sent to the designated contact.
All transfer orders, whether initiated by you or submitted to you, will be listed under the following tabs on the app's homepage. You can use the status buttons in each tab to filter orders:
- Requested: Orders initiated from your current store.
- Received: Orders received from other locations.
Processing a Transfer-in Order
Once a transfer-in order is created, the staff at the transfer-out location needs to confirm feasibility, approve the application, and ship the required products. To process a transfer-in order, staff at the transfer-out location should follow these steps:
- On the app's homepage, go to the Received tab and tap Pending.
- Select the order you need to process. Use the search icon to quickly locate a specific order if needed.
- Review the order details and requested products. Decide whether to approve the application:

- To approve and fulfill: Tap Agree and fulfill the order. The order status will be updated to Fulfilled at the transfer-out location and To be Received at the transfer-in location.
- To reject: Tap Reject. The order status will be updated to Rejected at both locations.
The contact who submitted the transfer-in order will receive an email about the processing status.
Approving a Transfer-out Order
After receiving a transfer-out order, staff at the transfer-in location need to confirm receipt by following these steps:
- On the app's homepage, go to the Received tab and tap To be Received.
- Select the order to process. Use the search icon to find specific orders.

Confirm that the products and quantities you received match the order. If everything is correct, tap Mark as received. The inventory levels for these products at the transfer-in location will increase based on the transferred quantity.
The order status at both locations will be updated to Completed.
