Troubleshooting Network Issues with Your SHOPLINE Admin

 

This guide provides troubleshooting steps to help resolve network issues you may encounter while using SHOPLINE Admin. If you experience slow page loading, network errors, or unexpected system interruptions, follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve these issues.

Checking Your Network Status in the Admin

To verify if the issue is with your internet connection, check the network status within the SHOPLINE Admin.

  1. In your SHOPLINE admin panel, click the network icon in the top-right corner.

  2. In the Network information section, review the performance indicator for the Access Admin option. If it displays a green checkmark, your network is likely functioning correctly.
  3. If you encounter any anomalies, try checking your VPN, switching networks, or contacting support via the chat box in the bottom-right corner.

 


 

Checking VPN Operation

VPN-related issues are a common cause of network problems. If you suspect this, try the following steps:

  • Disable your VPN or switch to a different VPN provider.
  • Set your DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.

 


 

Configuring DNS Settings

If network problems persist, adjusting your DNS settings may help. Below are steps for configuring DNS on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

 

Windows

  1. Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center
  2. Select your active network, then click Properties in the pop-up window.
  3. Locate and double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
  4. Select Use the following DNS server addresses
  5. Enter the preferred and alternate DNS server addresses.  
  6. Click OK to save your settings.

 

macOS

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Settings, then click Network from the left sidebar. 
  2. Select your current network connection.
  3. Click the Details button next to the network.
  4. In the pop-up window, go to the DNS section.
  5. In the DNS Servers box, click the + button to add a new DNS server address.
  6. Click OK to save your settings.

Linux

  1. Open the Linux terminal.
  2. Run the following command to edit the network configuration file:
    sudo vi /etc/resolv.conf
  3. If prompted, enter the administrator password.
  4. In the vi or other text editor, locate the line starting with nameserver and add the DNS server addresses.
  5. Save the file and close the editor.

 


 

Switching Network Environments

Changing your network environment may resolve connection issues. Try switching to a more stable connection by:

  • Switching to a 4G/5G network.
  • Trying a different home network.

 


 

Trying a Different Browser

Sometimes, browser-related issues can cause problems. Try the following steps: 

  • Use a different browser to log in.
  • Try logging in using incognito mode.
