Canceling Orders in POS
During in-store operations, you might need to cancel an order. This could happen if a customer changes their mind or due to an operational error. To maintain accurate sales data, the SHOPLINE POS system offers a convenient Cancel order feature. This feature allows you to easily remove invalid orders from your system, keeping your transaction records clean and organized.
Note: The Cancel order feature is currently available only to merchants who have opted in. If you'd like to enable this feature, please contact SHOPLINE Customer Support. |
How to Cancel an Order
To cancel an order, whether due to a customer's change of mind or an operational error, follow these steps:
- On the POS app's homepage, tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner.
- Select Order from the left-hand menu.
- Search for the order you want to cancel, tap it to view the order details, and then tap the Other actions button to select Cancel order.
- In the confirmation popup, tap Confirm to complete the process.
Viewing Canceled Orders
Orders canceled in the POS app are considered void and won't appear in the Orders section of the SHOPLINE admin panel. However, to help store managers track transaction records, canceled orders can still be viewed within the POS app:
- On the POS app's homepage, tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner.
- Select Order from the left-hand menu.
- Tap Store orders at the top-left corner and choose Voided.
On this page, you can search for and review all canceled (voided) orders.
