Enabling the App Install Prompter on Your Website

Grow your customer base and increase app usage with SHOPLINE's App Install Prompter. This feature enables you to easily add a download prompt banner to your mobile website, encouraging customers to download your app for a seamless shopping experience.

 

 

Enabling the App Install Prompter

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Channels > Online Store > Design. Click Design in the Current theme section.

  2. In the theme editor, go to the App embeds section.

  3. Locate and enable the App Install prompter. Then, configure the display position, frequency, and text for the download instructions and button.

  4. Once you've completed the settings, switch to phone mode to preview the banner. Then, click Save to apply your changes.

Download Button Redirection Logic

After configuring the download banner, customers who tap the download button on the mobile website will be redirected based on the following scenarios:

  • For Users with the App Installed: Tapping the button will open the corresponding page within the app, providing a seamless user experience.
  • For Users Without the App: Tapping the banner will redirect customers to the App Store or Google Play download page. After installing and launching the app, the system will automatically navigate to the intended page, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
