Introduction to FBE

The new Facebook Business Extension (FBE) seamlessly connects your online store with Facebook Business Manager (BM), Facebook page, Facebook Business Advertisement Account, Facebook Pixel, Instagram Business Account, and product information through integration in the SHOPLINE store admin. This simplifies pixel configuration and data reporting, ultimately improving sellers' website operation efficiency.

Additionally, SHOPLINE's FBE now includes the Facebook Data Sharing Plugin, allowing you to choose the level of consumer data sharing to configure.

  • Standard: The application of the Facebook Pixel (Third-party cookies) allows the collection and sharing of customer browsing behavior within your online store.  Browser-based advertisement blockers can prevent the pixel code from collecting data.
  • Enhanced: It bundles all data-sharing options to achieve maximum customer engagement. It applies the Conversion API (CAPI), sharing data directly from SHOPLINE's servers to Facebook. This means that advertisement blockers cannot prevent the transmission of this data.

      

   

Check Items before FBE Configuration

Firstly, before applying this plugin on the SHOPLINE admin panel, please confirm that your personal Facebook account has the following permissions:

  • Management permission to the Facebook Business Manager (FBM)
  • Administrator's authority over the Facebook Page
  • Administrator's authority over the Facebook advertising account
  • Administrator's authority over the Catalog
  • Administrator's authority over the Facebook Pixel

 

 

Assets Authorization (Linking FBE with SHOPLINE)

You can perform the following steps:

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Channels > Facebook. Enter the Facebook channel, and click on Install FBE.
  2. Go to the Facebook Account Management section, and click on Link now.
  3. After confirming the Facebook Login Account, click on Continue in the capacity of the Account name.
  4. Click on Continue after reading the instructions on linking the store and Facebook.
  5. Select assets requiring binding, and click on Continue.
  6. Agree to authorize.
  7. Click Complete to confirm that you have successfully connected to the Facebook Business Extension feature!
