After you create a pop-up window in the SHOPLINE background, customers can see the corresponding pop-up window when they enter your store or the designated page of the store.
Pop-up windows are suitable for scenarios such as information collection, promotional activities, festive season marketing, free shipping, customer retention, etc., to help improve the conversion rate of users in all aspects of shopping, retain potential customer information, and improve store sales.

1. Setting up the popups app
1.1 Popup settings
If you have not added the "Popups" app, you can install it in [Apps] > [App Store] > [Popups]. After installation, you can find "Popups" in My App.
(2) If you have added "Popups", you can find it in [App] > [My App] > [Popups].
1.2 Disable pop-up promotion
To disable Popups, head to the [Popups] app and click on the respective popups that you want to disable, on the top right hand, click on [pause].
2. Create a popup
You can create different types of pop-ups for your store: subscription pop-ups, discount coupon pop-ups, holiday pop-ups, customer retention pop-ups, free shipping pop-ups, product pop-ups or marketing pop-ups to encourage customers to leave messages or for merchants to offer discount codes.
You can specify the following:
- Popup template
- Content displayed in the pop-up window
- Effective time
- Push object
- Push frequency
- Push timing
- Stop push condition
- Display page of the popup window
- Custom colors in popups
Your customers can see the pop-up window you set effective in your store.
3. Notes on creating pop-up windows
Before creating a popup, review the following considerations:
- Pop-ups can be used to collect customer information (email/phone), or issue discount codes
- Each store can have multiple pop-up windows at the same time. When you set multiple pop-up windows to take effect at the same time, the pop-up windows will pop up in reverse order according to the time of your last update, and the pop-up window you created the latest will pop up first.
- The discount code copy button in the pop-up window can only help customers to copy the discount code and cannot automatically apply the discount code
- You can see all the popups you have configured in the popup list, the name of the popup you configured will be displayed in the popup list, the name will not be displayed in the store, and your customers will not see the name
- You can operate pop-up windows in batches in the pop-up window list, open/pause/delete pop-up windows; if the selected pop-up window has not reached the start time or has ended, you cannot open or pause the pop-up window
4. Create a subscription popup
When creating a subscription popup, you can choose to have customers fill in their email or mobile number. After the customer submits the information, the discount code you configured in advance can be obtained. You can choose whether to provide customers with a discount code after submission. If you set up a discount code, your customers will need to enter the code at checkout to receive the corresponding discount.
When your mouse hovers over the subscription popup on the popup list page, you can click Create Popup to create it. You can choose a different template to start creating, and when your mouse hovers over the template, it will show you what your customers will see after they submit it.
Steps:
- In the SHOPLINE background, click the application to enter the pop-up window promotion
- When the mouse hovers over the corresponding popup type, click to create a popup
- After selecting the template, click OK
- In the popup name section, enter a custom popup name
- This name is for internal display only, you can see this name in the popup list, your customers will not see this name in your store
- If you do not enter a popup name, the default name will be the popup type, such as: subscribe popup
- Before submitting the content, modify the following content. This part is the content of the pop-up window that customers see before submitting the information. Your modification will be previewed in real time on the right side of the page
- Enter a new title and description; if you do not make changes, the title and description will remain the same as the default text
- Select the subscription method: subscribe via email or subscribe via mobile phone number; the default option is to subscribe via email
- You can adjust the subscription button text
- Change the picture or keep the default picture
- After submitting the content, you can modify or set the following content, some of which are the pop-up content that customers see after submitting the information, and your modifications will be previewed in real time on the right side of the page
- If you want to offer a discount code to customers who submit information, you can select the corresponding discount code in the discount code section
- You can only select discount codes created from the store admin under [Discount] > [Discount code].
- If you click "New", you will be redirected to the discount settings.
- If you do not want to provide a discount code, you can leave the option blank.
- You can edit the title or description
- If you want to set a button in the pop-up window after submitting, you can fill in the text of the subscription success button . After you fill in the text, you can see the button in the preview on the right
- The text of the subscription success button is set to be blank by default, and the button will not appear after submitting
- If you configure this button, the popup will close when the customer clicks on the button
- You can choose to display or not display the store logo, this option is checked by default, and your store logo will be displayed in the pop-up window
- If you want to offer a discount code to customers who submit information, you can select the corresponding discount code in the discount code section
- In the effective time section, you can set the effective date of the pop-up window, you can do the following
- If you want to set the end date of the popup, uncheck Never expire and set the end date of the discount
- If you don't want the discount code to expire, do not set the effective date and keep the Never expires checkbox
- To limit the display of pop-ups, you can set the push settings
- Push object: the default is all visitors , you can also choose logged in customers or not logged in customers
- Push frequency: The default is 1 time per day , you can also choose only 1 impression , every impression or 1 time per week
- Push timing: The default is to push immediately after entering the page . You can also choose to push after entering the page for a certain period of time or after scrolling the page to a certain extent.
- After setting, after the customer enters the page for a certain period of time, or scrolls the page to the corresponding position, the pop-up window will pop up and display
- You can also set stop push conditions, this option is not checked by default
- If you check this option, you can customize the pop-up times, you can fill in up to 100 times
- To limit the placement of popups, you can set the display settings
- You can choose the placement on PC and mobile, this option already provides some clickable positions, the position you click is the position where customers can see the popup on the page
- This option is displayed on the PC side and the mobile side by default, and it is displayed in the center. You can make some adjustments to them respectively.
- Display page: It is displayed on all pages by default. You can also choose the page you want to display. The page you select will be displayed under this option in the style of a label.
- You can choose the placement on PC and mobile, this option already provides some clickable positions, the position you click is the position where customers can see the popup on the page
- If you want to make some custom configurations for the pop-up window, you can set the custom style
- Popup Settings: You can set the popup background color, close button color, title text color and description text color here. The background here is the text and button parts, excluding the pop-up image part
- Button settings: You can set the button background color (submit button), button text color, button border color and button stroke of the pop-up window here. The maximum value you can fill in the button stroke is 10
- Input box settings: You can set the text color, fill box color, and fill box stroke in the input box. The maximum value you can fill in the fill box stroke is 10
- You can drag the mask opacity to adjust
- Click Save to save the popup.
5. Create discount coupons/free shipping/festive pop-ups
If you want to provide customers with corresponding discount codes, you can set up the above pop-up windows.
Steps:
- In the SHOPLINE background, click the application to enter the pop-up window promotion
- When the mouse hovers over the corresponding popup type, click to create a popup
- After selecting the template, click OK
- In the popup name section, enter a custom popup name
- This name is for internal display only, you can see this name in the popup list, your customers will not see this name in your store
- If you do not enter the name of the pop-up window, the name will default to the type of pop-up window, such as: discount coupon pop-up window

- Button copy: You can make adjustments to the button copy
- Set Jump Links: You can set jump links for the buttons in the pop-up window. After clicking, customers will jump to the link URL you filled in
- If you want to set a jump link, please tick this option and fill in the link
- If you do not want to set a jump link, please keep this option unchecked and do not make other adjustments
- Change the picture or keep the default picture
- You can choose to display or not display the store logo, this option is checked by default, your store logo will be displayed in the pop-up window
- In the effective time section, you can set the effective date of the pop-up window, you can do the following
- If you want to set the end date of the popup, uncheck Never expire and set the end date of the discount

- To limit the placement of popups, you can set the display settings
- You can choose the placement on PC and mobile, this option already provides some clickable positions, the position you click is the position where customers can see the popup on the page
- This option is displayed on the PC side and the mobile side by default, and it is displayed in the center. You can make some adjustments to them respectively.

6. Create customer retention popups
- In order to retain customers more effectively, you can set up customer retention pop-ups. There are two templates in the customer retention pop-up window. One is that you can directly set the discount code for the customer to receive, and the other is that the customer can receive the discount code after filling in the information. Except for the push timing, the setting method of the customer retention pop-up window is the same as the following pop-up. window match
- If you choose to directly set a discount code for customers to receive, the creation method is the same as the discount coupon/free shipping/festive pop-up window
- If you choose to receive a discount code after the customer fills in the information, the creation method is the same as the subscription pop-up window
- The customer retention pop-up window is displayed by default when the customer leaves the page. The definition of the customer leaving the page is:
- PC: Quickly move the mouse to the top of the page
- Mobile: The page scrolls up quickly
7. Popup list
- When you save the popup, all the popups you set will be displayed in the popup list
- You can see the popup name, effective time, status in the list, and you can preview and copy the popup
- You can perform batch operations on pop-ups in the list, but "to be started" or "end" pop-ups cannot be opened/paused
- You can quickly filter popups in the list by searching for the popup name, filtering the popup type, selecting a start-end date
8. Edit popup
- In any state, you can click the popup data from the popup list and modify the settings of the popup
- After modification, click Update , and the updated pop-up window will be displayed in your store
- Please note: In your store, the pop-up order of the pop-up windows is based on the time of your last update, and the pop-up window you updated/created last will pop up first
